From Wikipedia, "Dorsoduro is Venice’s university district and the streets around the Campo Santa Margherita are filled with unpretentious eateries, indie shops and vintage fashion boutiques," and apparently Aprilia Supermoto bikes.

After adding preload to the rear, dropping the forks one notch makes a huge difference. My '11 Dorsoduro is a blast to ride.

    Dave
kindly let me know the tools used by you for adjusting forks and shock
the hand tools.. as far as I can guess on sockets
    >1/4" drive
    >extension rod small medium and really tall.
I would really love to know about them and give it a gift to my brother...

The tool for the shock is this: www.maxiscoot.com/en/product/buzzetti-c-spanner-43660. In regards to the forks, a flat blade screwdriver and a 17mm socket with 25cm extension and ratchet.

I have an Aprilia Dorsoduro 750.
It's like a rail, meaning it's impossible to lean.
Switched tyres from Pirelli DiabloRosso3 to Metzeler Racetec RR K3, I've had just a very small improvement, still very hard to lean.
I assume it's a suspension problem, at this point; what should I do to fix this issue?
Thanks for your time and your help!

Hello Andre. Check how much fork and shock travel you are using #1. That will show you if the suspension is too soft or too hard. Once you know this you can correct fork and shock preload to get travel optimized. Second would be cold pressures to see if they are too high or too low. You should be in the 34-38psi cold range.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I just bought a Dorsoduro. I feel like the suspension needs some work. I dropped the front forks from 1 to 3 notches, and it helped.
I think I'm too deep into the suspension travel, I can lift the rear a lot (4-5cm on the bike's own weight!). Unfortunately, Aprilia has NOT given a base value for ride height. There is a recommended setting for everything, apart from that.
    Any tips?
    Cheers

Hi David. You should be able to lift the rear 1.5 to 2cm and to change that you will add preload (3 more threads showing: czcams.com/video/Jlbca0SIxhw/video.html. For the forks, put a cable tie on the right fork chrome tube and push it up against the dust seal. Ideal travel is 3 to 3.5cm from the bottom of the tube. Get preload set first and see how the bike rides, steers and assess braking stability.

@@catalystreactionsbw I missed your comment (no notification)! I ended up with 4 notches up front and 1cm free sag in the rear, and also had to add some rebound front and rear both. I have not messed with the compression stroke up front yet, I will measure how much travel I use Rides like a dream now! Thank you!!!

Look at BSB - there are a ton of behind the scenes staff that know suspension and data intimately. Question is, do they pass that on to the average road rider?
