In what way? your just only 1 person, unless you have billions of U.S. dollars to give away, I see your education system in France is not teaching you well, my advice leave these people alone and stay in France and take care of your self, once you come here, you will change your mind, I retired from the U.S. Army, came here to live a peaceful life, all i got was pure hell, now I am going back home, i cherish the American life.

Because the children, as hard as it is to raise them, are their future... perhaps 1 of the 5 or whatever the number...marries a foreigner, gets a good job, perhaps lives abroad... or those 5 pool their earnings to help all. One thing for sure the lack of any offspring solidifies a dead end future...and absolutely offers no hope for the future.

I love how Filipinos find a way to stay happy in every situation. My bosom friend is a Filipina and I've learned so many things from her. She's sweet, forgiving, understanding and full of pure love and compassion. I am not sure if most of the Filipinos treat people in such a way as my friend does yet they tend to be kind and warm hearted. I love Filipinos. ❤

fuazzole I think you are probably a kind person, but beware giving the kids money for 2 reasons. 1. A lot of the street children belong to Syndicates whereby they beg only to give it up to a Master who owns them. 2. Huffing (smelling solvents and glues to get high) is an epidemic among kids there. It gets them high to escape hardship for a little while and staves off hunger... but leaves them a mess of course. I know, I give a few pesos to them once in a while - but is much better to give them food... next time keep some packs of Sky Flakes and hand them out.

Thank you all for all your help and support to our fellow Pinoys. These people does have choices many of them came from towns, provinces outside Manila or any cities in Philippines. They go to Manila for jobs and end up in this kind of environment. The new President is coming with an agenda to distribute wealth and power outside Manila. My family and I lived in the mountains of Panay close to Boracay. Many has bamboo houses, healthy fresh air with fresh veggies, chickens, pigs...self sustaining life...not like this kind of environment. Public education is free and scholarships in high school and colleges are offered there but yes Life is a Choice... As a Pinoy I felt sorry for them myself but they put themselves in this kind of environment. May God bless all of you who helped and support my Kababayan.

After 15 years we finally got our rewards for finishing college., got decent job, high salary, new individual home each siblings, comfortable life., sending expensive school to our children. The fact that they can smile is one proof that money could never make anybody happy. I've met people with lots of money but were still unhappy and depressed. Money is not everything but it helps. But only to a certain point. In this material, world one suffers constantly whether one is rich or poor. The spiritual being, however, is constantly in bliss and eternal. This material body will become old, diseased and dwindle and die but the spirit soul is eternal. What is the point of a big bank account if there is nothing in your spiritual bank account? At the tome of death we leave everything behind. in the end it's just you and God. And believe me God will not ask you how big is your bank account. He will ask you how big is your spiritual bank account.

HOPE. That's what the Philippines has been doing and hoping for decades long and nothing had happened. Don't you think the time is now to do something draconian to change things over there for the betterment of the country and its entire citizenry? Hope and prayers don't seem to work. Corruption in every level is rampant and alive and well. As Einstein once said: doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result is foolish and I might add, a waste of time, money and energy. We need honest and strong leaders, willing to sacrifice all for the country to make that change and eradicate the cancer that plagues the country for so long. And then perhaps, Filipinos will stop leaving their country and expatriates might return home. (Now that is not Hope but a Dream.) MABUHAY!
