Quirino - one of the toughest and most dangerous neighborhoods in the world. The territory of the Batanga City Jail gang. An area that even the residents of Quezon City avoid like the plague.
For the past twenty years, Gang Boss Jo-Jo has been ruling over Quirino, fiercely defending it against its enemies.
In order to protect his area as much as possible, Jo-Jo has divided the no-go zone into nine sections. Each of his minions controls one of them. Together with four to six henchmen each. And every gang member is specialized. In robbery, burglary, or drug dealing. The driving force behind the gangs of Manila? Shabu - also known as crystal meth. Almost everyone in Quirino is addicted to the adrenaline-pumping drug.
The Twenty-one-year-old prostitute Maevilyn grew up in Quirino and is an addict for four years. She sells her body to anyone who can give her money or drugs. Like dealer Rodney. He is Gang Boss Jojo’s right-hand man and responsible for the gangs prospering drug business Rodney is considered to be especially ruthless and brutal.
The police in and around Quirino are corrupt so the gang doesn't' have too much to worry about. But there is somebody else, who is hunting down the gang bosses like Jo-Jo: Peter is the most successful bounty hunter in the Philippines. Always on the lookout for criminals that could bring in some cash.

Let me be clear, my intent isn’t to rip apart and put down this production or those behind the making of it. Rather than challenging the quality of the film or that of the film-makers, what I am questioning is the classification of this production as “documentary.
I am a Filipino-American, fluent in English and Tagalog, and found myself to have an interesting perspective with this particular episode. Many times, there is no direct translation from Tagalog to English and a rough translation is as good as it’s going to get. (For example, you know that weird eye gunk we all have had to deal with, typically when first waking up. Well those eye boogers or crusteez or whatever we call them has a specific name in Tagalog, muta.)
Back to my point, while listening to what was actually being said in Tagalog and comparing it to the English translation, what was presented wasn’t a rough translation by any stretch but a complete fictitious yet creative means to push a story or message convenient to the film-maker.
Changing the words of the people you are highlighting in your documentary made me lose all faith of credibility in authenticity. Where do you draw the line of what is real and what you the film-maker imagined and want to be real. Is that really what they said? Are those really people from that area and not actors? Do these problems really exist?
So not going down that wormhole, I hope you see my point. Life in the Philippines is definitely hard, different, and interesting enough without having to jazz things up. Just tell it how it is. So, I commend you on your Fiction Docudrama, and if that was the production type you were aiming for, then label it that way. Maraming salamat po sa mga nagbabasa yun komento ko. Sorry na lang masiadong mahaba sya. Mabuhay pilipinas…kasama din yun mga adik!

They go there and they will not come out alive without ransom. Even restricted to show this in the Philippines coz they know The President will order shoot to kill with this guy's even the Producer will get his torns.🤣

I lived in that area from 1969 to 1972. How things have changed! I used to walk on Pajo Street to go to St Joseph's Church on Sundays. I even used to get a haircut at a barber shop on Pajo St. I was 12 years old in 1972. There were a lot of trees and nice houses back then. Quirino District was composed of Project 2 and Project 3, or Quirino District 2 and 3. Pajo St. and my neighborhood (Bignay St which intersected Pajo St) were in Project 2. I spent 4th, 5th, and 6th grades at Quirino Elementary School on Anonas St. which was the street Jojo was riding his motor bike on. That place is totally unrecognizable to me now.

Wow - Bill Clinton's contribution to 'world peace'. Hillary Clinton's 'Viking'? At least you can see where the gang name came from. Clinton got caught on Jeffrey Epstein's Island, but he's been a big fan of underage prostitution since he was Governor of Arkansas back in the 1980s...
So sorry to see your old home go to heck like this...
Donald Trump would call it 'a latrine', but he was a Clinton Insider until he got tipped of by the Russians that Clinton was going to get busted, which is when 'the Donald' leaped the fence and became a Republican...
Look up the name 'ROBERT PHILLIP HANSSEN too, he was a former Chicago Cop and FBI agent who sold secrets to the GRU and got busted in 2001. Back in the early 1990s, he would launder his GRU money by tipping it to strippers and prostitutes, counting on them to not claim it as income, and besides that, he was a member of the right wing extremist group OPUS DEI, and was known for covering up sex offenses, especially those committed by clergy members against children. Hanssen had a big espionage operation based in Cleveland Ohio, where the former Cardinal of Washington, James Hickey was from, and Hickey was Cardinal of DC during the Clinton Administration...
Hanssen, Barrack Obama, and Hillary Clinton were all from Chicago, which had a big GRU/KGB backed left wing domestic terror group called the WEATHER UNDERGROUND, which was sort of like a 'proto-anti-fascist' group, like the ones that burned down half of America in 2020...

Tragic. How long before we experience the same situation in the rest of the world.... And people living in New York have virtually no empathy for the people living in Venesuala and other countries.

These documentaries have become a complete college courses for me.
It had brought me to a sense of appreciation n a understanding that this globe is a village with the present of technology n those reporters who are sacrificing their lives for us to experience.

This is a terrible documentary, aimed to shock without exploring any of the issues which underlie the problem, namely corruption, inequality and most of all the genocidal maniac Duterte, the man who thinks that murdering the poor will fix the problem.
