If you have to tell people you’re the greatest…you’re not.
That's just not true. By that logic if I'm the worse but never tell people that I'm the not the worse all of a sudden. Truth is people have a hard on for humility because they feel intimated when exceptional people know they're exceptional and make it know.
Ali was the greatest in terms of his in ring and out of ring performance. He made a mark on the world that is transcendent.
But in terms of boxing, there are too many to list. One brilliant but underrated boxer was Emanuel Augustus.
Then there's Salvador Sanchez.
Sugar Ray Robinson and Leonard.
And my personal favorite, Thomas Hearns ( 6 time champ )
You can't be considered the greatest of all times if there is a period of time where you have lost. Muhammad Ali should be instead considered the most revered heavyweight champion of all time because of both his in and out of the ring performances, but like all generations before him, Ali and his fans will have to accept the fact that there will be newer generations of boxers that will be faster, stronger, more skilled, and with better resumes.
Nostalgia is so strong of a feeling that older generations feel like they could topple any odds
Ali was the greatest promoter of his own ego 😂. There were many more fighters with better stats than (Ali) him. If someone keeps repeating a lie then sooner than later people will believe the lie.
Ali states many times that he said “egotistical” quotes like “I AM THE GREATEST” were for promoting the fight.
@@hulkwithagun9749 True but it doesn’t change the lies that he said…
Out of 5 losses, two losses came when he was already in the early stages of parkinsons, in the other 3 he lost against 1 he won again in the rematch.. So that sums up to only 2 man in his entire career defeated him in his good condition
While not many boxers fought with Parkinson’s like ALI did, EVERY boxer has fought when they are not in their prime. That’s part of the sport. They count.
@@hulkwithagun9749 Marciano didn't. He Quit during his prime.
@@Stout_Krout_Black_David_Frost your right. I will retract my statement. Many boxers retired before taking a loss like they should, mayweather is a prime example.
What I wanted to convey was that boxers who fight outside of there natural physical prime are prone to lose to younger more agile men.
@@Stout_Krout_Black_David_Frost and also Marciano was already out of his prime before he retired I believe he was in his thirties?
Yes he Lost to Frazier and Norton and then beat them both twice making it 2 outa 3 on both occasions.
Ali even without his prime years achieved so much in boxing
I ranked rocky Marciano as the best boxer but my favorite in number 1 Jack Johnson
Sugar…
Ray…
Robinson
Pacquiao is the greatest look at his achievement compare to Ali not even close
The heavyweight devision is different from all divisions because it is harder and ali was great because he dominated an era with multiple heavyweights who are considered to be all time greats like frazier, foreman and liston. As for manny pacquiao's record, it isn't as impressive as it might seem because the weight classes he conquered are relatively new and many boxers in history made more impressive jumps like roberto duran and thomas hearns. So pacquiao isn't really the greatest. The only few boxers that are actually greater than ali are sugar ray robinson, joe louis and jack jhonson.
I'm old but my 185 pounds and martial arts training tells me I could kick Manny's butt. Not Ali though.
@@kaval-cb9kd Sonny Liston was way older than Ali and Joe Frazier still one of the most overrated boxers of all time for the fact that people rate him so high because he was the first man to beat Ali then went to lost the other 3 fights against Foreman and Ali (1-4 against the greats of the 70s).
The whole 1970s was the "Golden era" kinda of a myth since Leon Spinks was able to overcome Ali in his 8th professional fight, Spinks with impressive 17 losses.
Then the other very controversial fights against Ken Norton and Jimmy Young.
Ali would have struggled in the mid/late 90s and in this very same era with Fury, AJ and Usyk.
That's right.
Nobody cares about little tiny Pac-man. He's irrelevant. Oh, such a big word. Little Pac-man fan might not understand.
The most famous champion - Muhammad Ali
The strongest champion - Wladimir Klitschko
The greatest champion - Joe Louis
😂 check out Sugar Ray Robinson whose stats surpass them both and who is the man responsible for multiple states enacting laws for registration requirements for martial artist using boxing.
How many people have these men killed in the ring with their bare hands? Because the official number for Mr. Robinson's bodycount is literally greater than two which were officially recorded as many stories cannot be confirmed especially when he was overseas.
Ali is like poster boy and the rock in wwe and McGregor in ufc which marketing and can make it more famous due to their charisma. But their all not undisputed goat
George Foreman was the link between generations of boxers. Foreman was only KO’d one time in his career and that one time was by Ali. Holyfield, Morrison, Briggs and Moorer failed in their attempts to put the man down in old age. This in and of itself tells you how good Ali was.
Bad logic.
Ron Lyle sent Foreman to the canvas even twice.
Never thought of it like that but makes sense.
@@PFitz539no it doesn't, old Foreman was a different fighter
So a bum like Jimmy Young is the sh*t?
Do you know any other figter that could predict his own rounds
I believe rocky Marciano is the greatest boxer but my favorite boxer is jack Johnson
Muhammad Ali Transened Alll Sports!!! Hands down Period!!! Ali is still the face of Boxing!!!! No other Athlete has Accomplished what Ali in his/their Lifetime!!! Sports Illustrated Magazine gave him the Sports Man of the Century!!!! Thats a 100 yrs.
NO ONE BEATS ALI IN HIS PRIME. NO ONE!!! RIP THE GREATEST. ❤
Ali's positive attitude was unbeatable! He is the GREATEST!!
Rocky is the greatest he a 49-0 he beat Louis Ali don't know if he wouldn't beat him Ali even say rocky Marciano is better than Joe Frazier
@user-wb5fq2ku5u The '0' defeats on a record is nice to read. Rocky was terribly beaten after every fight. Ali wasn't marred in any of his fights for a 20-year career. Rocky's heart is plain to see, and Ali's willingness to die in the ring is evidenced in all his tough outings. Ali was so huge, and patriotic that he was asked to light the Olympic torch. Ali boombaye!!
@@thomasespinosa6709I understand you but he never lost Ali lost joe Frazier ken Norton Leon spinks Larry Holmes trevor berbick nobody beat rocky Marciano Ali say he beat joe Frazier the only thing to beat rocky Marciano is a plane crash 😢
Well, a lot would depend on the metrics you used to determine who's the greatest. For me, the simplest but perhaps most difficult metric to assess is to ask one's self: "who wins between the two in a one to one fight in their prime?" Difficult to assess, but I have seen no better heavyweight in their prime than Ali. The Ali that fought Cleveland Williams was poetry in motion. Joe Louis, with his stand up and fight style, would have been too slow for Ali, he would have been chasing shadows all nite long, sorry.
Joe has power ali don't have power joe will ko ali or beat him too the punch all 15 rounds boy sorry too ruin your dream
@@Aldine281did you see what the young Max Schmeling did to Louis? That's what Ali would have done! Wiped the floor with Louis. And Marciano too. Especially the Ali that was banned from boxing. At age 26-8!! Sorry!!
Pacman is the greatest ever bar none
Ali never lost pre exile, was never challenged in 10 championship fights. His speed@ defense made him completely unhittable. You can say he was never, staggered, stunned, even hurt or barely hit during those 10 fights. Also he improved and was most definitely robbed of his prime. In 1971 the supreme court exonerated himand said " sorry", now you can fight. He was just so dominant. Like him or not seeing is believing. Just too fast, too much endurance, blinding hand speed,super-superior skill set. Power increasing. Defense best of all time with that speed. I respect all opinions, but from Liston to Folley this guy was the greatest.
You nailed it pal. 👍🏼
We know that but he lost not just because 3 years of not boxing but joe Frazier is skill and Ali didn't think he need to dance he underestimate jow
George Foreman was the link between generations of boxers. Foreman was only KO’d one time in his career and that one time was by Ali. Holyfield, Morrison, Briggs and Moorer failed in their attempts to put the man down in old age. This in and of itself tells you how good Ali was. He was the Greatest.
A lot of people haven’t lost…before they lose. Everyone that loses has an excuse.
@@user-wb5fq2ku5uAnd in the second fight he danced and beat Frazier.
If not for his title being stripped he would have broken Joe Louis record and Marcianos IMO
Ali would have beat slow flat footed Joe Lewis all over the ring
You gotta take into account opponents. Ali fought a whose who of great fighters. Modern heavyweights just aren’t like older fighters. You cannot put Klitschko in the same realm as Ali. Not even close. Ali was the greatest because he would’ve beaten every other Heavyweight champion in history purely because he fought with speed of a lightweight, was almost impossible to hit clean, had a great chin when he was hit and could punch harder than given credit for, but also had a near genius ring I.Q. He did things that no fighter before him did, especially for a heavyweight. NOONE thought he would beat Foreman. People actually thought Ali would be killed or badly hurt. Yet he made it look easy. That has to be the greatest win in the history of boxing. Joe Louis is a legend and was an incredible fighter but I think he was too flat footed and robotic foot Ali. And Ali was one of the first BIG heavyweights too. I laugh when people say Tyson could’ve taken Ali. That wouldn’t even be competitive.
You know nothing about box if you really believe Ali was all that, it seems people tend to forget that Sonny Liston was 34/35 years old when he faced an 22 years old Ali (Sonny Liston even lost his 8th professional fight to a bum).
Muhammad ali was in the olympics considered a light heavyweight he would barely even be considered an heavyweight by todays standards.
Then old heads liked you seems to forget that Ali was the one who made Joe Frazier famous since he was 1-4 against the tops dogs failing all against Big George then again to Ali.
Ali KO against Foreman? Maybe the biggest win in his career but still Foreman also lost to the mighty "Jimmy Young" in his prime so...
Then Ken Norton trilogy whos very contoversial since Ken deserved the second win in the third fight once against Ali showing he wasnt that much better than everyboy.
Then the loss to a man who was in his 8th professional fight and high on cocaine ending up with 17 losses in his career the legenday Leon Spinks shows the world Ali wasnt all that after all.
Ali maybe the greastest of the 70s but he would have no chance against the tops dogs of the 1990s ( Holyfield, Lennox Lewis) and 21st century fighter like Wladimir, Fury or Uysk.
Only someone delusional would think that a 6ft6 Klitchko would struggle against 6ft2 Ali or even someone like Fury whos even bigger and moves very well.
I agree with you. In just boxing Ali isn't the greatest but if we consider other stuff, Ali is unmatchable
Ali is the greatest. Don't care what any of you say
@@finderkeeperrrs🤓🤓🤓
Ali beat 8 World Champions Liston, Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, Spinks, and WBA champs Terrell, Norton, and Jimmy Ellis.
Muhammad Ali was the best boxer of all times imho
Who influenced boxing the most?
Who was unique and inimitable in the way he boxed?
Who dominated in the thoughest era with the most talents?
Who inspired the most legends after his time?
It's not Marciano, not Tyson, not Joe Louis and yes not even Ray Sugar. It's Ali.
Pound for Pound? Ali was faster tha Robinson despite his weight. Ali as a middleweight boxer would have been even faster than Robinson in the heavyweight.
Ali was stripped off for nearly 3 years at his peak.
No he draft dodged and got his legs and movement were taken away by Anoki in the exhibition match that he got kicked to an oblivion
Thanks for the video! I actually have Ali much higher in my all time P4P list than most fans. 1. Greb 2. Langford 3. Ali 4. Duran 5. Armstrong 6. Robinson 7. Marciano 8. Walker 9. Charles 10. McGovern 11. Mayweather 12. Pacquaio 13. Louis 14. Benny Leonard etc.
I believe Ali fought a much higher level of competition. Dominating Sonny Liston twice (depending on your opinion of their 2nd fight) and knocking out a prime Foreman are more impressive than any other Joe's wins imo.
I give Marciano a lot of credit due to his uniquely short arms and due to this I actually have him above Louis as well.
P4P? Pac at 12? TF LOL THE MOST NUMBER OF DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP IS JUST in 12?
Ali is just 3 lineal world champion compare to Pacquiao's 5 lineal world champion so Pacquiao is the NEW GOAT
If his name and picture wasn't on here , nobody would have watched the video!
the king muhamed ali
Don't you ever imagine if government didn't take down her tittle he will be unbeatable for 15 year
Ali is the greatest Heavyweight ever ,beat more heavyweights in the HOFAME then any Heavyweight! In his prime was unbeatable! Marciano , Louis competition doesn't compared to Ali! Louis had his bum of the month tour and didn't fight to many Black fighters, until he met Charles, Walcott! Ali fought all the top heavyweights! The 70's and 90's had the best Heavyweights ever!
Marciano beat Walcott, Charles, Louis and Moore. Moore was a light heavyweight and 42 years old. All the names I mentioned were an average of 38 years old. So he beat a few geriatric people. Big deal. Ali had a 12 inch reach advantage, 5 inches in height and 30 pounds in weight. He was 3 times faster than Marciano! Please! The science fiction movie they did in 1968 was a joke. Ali needed the money. Did you see what Max Shmeling did to Louis when Shmeling was young? He wiped the floor with Louis. That's what Ali would have done to Louis as well.
Floyd mayweather had been saying this
Ali is still the greatest. Argue with the wall 🧱
The old Ali said "I'm not the greatest. All publicity."
I think he ist the greatest sportsman of all time. If he is the best boxer, I don't know.
he is the goat
Ali dominated the heavyweight from 1960 to 1978 against the most formidable boxing fella champs he fought who were also hardest punchers - Liston, The Big Cat, Terrell, Quarry, Mildenberger, Henry Cooper, Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Lyle, Shavers and he beat them all
Ali dominated in his prime barely ever even taking punches.
Came back in the most competitive and elite era in heavyweight history as a shell of his former self and dominated again.
Name one other boxer who could ever do that at heavyweight.
In my opinion, there are 3 fighters who had the opportunity to solidify themselves as the greatest of all time but were inactive during their prime years. All 3 for different reasons.
Mike Tyson - What would his career looked like if Cus had lived another 10 years?
George Foreman - What if he had beaten Ali that night? Already at 40-0 with 37 OKs prior to the loss, who would have stopped him before he eclipsed Rocky's 49-0?
Muhammad Ali - Without the 3.5 year exile, What would his record looked like?
How would Rocky fair against a primed Tyson, Ali or Foreman?
Same question goes for Louis against these 3?
Agree dude. What a fight a if only Ali V Tyson both in there prime
Greatest heavyweights during periods-
Joe Louis 30s - master boxer fast hands, devastating power and amazing heart.
Rocky Macciano 40s - 50s (powerful, granite chin, tough as nails, hit hard, undefeated
Sonny liston 50s - early 60s intimidating, insane reach, granite chin, powerful, decent head movement.
Muhammad ali was the best in the 60s. Incredible Reflexes, insane speed, heart, punching power was not powerful but cut and countered you with power. During that 1964 - 1967 I don't think I've seen a better fighter.
Joe frazier end of 60s, early 70s. (He beat Ali 1971) frazier was tough, great chin, relentless, good head movement, a powerful left hook. Stamina for Days. Punched hard
George Foreman 70s (he beat Frazier and Norton) Foreman was powerful, he over powered everyone and could cut off the ring, great chin and could parry punches. Wasn't slow either... just lacked stamina and was wild.
Muhammad Ali - 1974 again as he beat Foreman with heart, reflexes and veteran boxing skill, grit and inhuman toughness)
Jimmy young mid to late 70s he lost controversial decisions to Ali, and Norton which he should of won. If he didn't keep going out the ropes fighting Ali he would of won! (Norton he won but the decision went against him) not a decent puncher but cagey, defensive genius, and quick. Made everyone look shit lol. He was the greatest 1976-1978 too inconsistent and had a bad record to be as great as Ali, frazier etc) he had a short periods he was beating the greatest boxers. Beating Foreman with his skills causing Foreman to change and find religion. Should be remembered for that..
Ken norton - was one of the greatest till Foreman, Shavers who were the hardest punchers I history (shavers was the hardest puncher of all time) Norton couldn't face punchers, but he beat Ali. Norton was fast , athletic, awkward and a decent puncher. Ali dreaded facing him, and should of won 2 out out of 3 fights with Ali.
Jerry Cooney early 80s (devastating puncher , good skills
Larry Holmes 80s era (he dominated consistently with decent power, and an amazing jab and fast) great boxing skills too
Mike Tyson 80s (he beat Holmes and was invincible for a period of time with speed, excellent defense and power)
Evadander Holyfield late 80s (he was a complete boxer, powerful and quick hands, beating Tyson
Comeback Foreman (slower but wiser and still had great power, heart and granite chin and more patient recaptured the title)
Lennox Lewis 90s. Big hitter, clever outside fighter. (He could beat just about anybody)
Vitali Klistskcho 90s - early 2000s (hit hard, and was tough and clever)
Wladmir close second (great jab, fast, good punch excellent boxing iq)
Anthony Joshua (was winning against everyone with his strength and athletic abilities, had a good chin , fast hands. till he met his match a few times in recent years, he's too stiff!
Deontay Wilder (hit like a brick and went through opponents, had heart and a granite chin)
Currently the best - Tyson Fury , heart of a lion, decent power ,granite chin, excellent boxing IQ. He's undefeated because he's consistent) he could be one of the greatest of all time.
You can't compare fighters from different eras , because you wouldn't know.
Joe Louis didn't have Alis speed or chin. Just a better knock out record.
Why did you not include comeback foreman? He definitely deserved to
Be on there
@@hulkwithagun9749, I have thr list is accurate. Jimmy young is on the list
While I respect jimmy young for humbling George Foreman
I was talking about older foremans career, he for one NEVER got put on the canvas and on top of that got heavy weight championship at 45. That’s what I’m speaking on.
Also, Jack Johnson was the greatest some time before Joe Louis.
Lol Francis Ngannou embarrassed Tyson Fury
Well, it a subjective statement at the end of the day. People can go on with their ' What if, what about" all that they want. But it doesn't matter. Whether, he was or wasn't "stripped" of his prime years. He didn't get them, so we will never know. You just have " What-about-ism" going on.
Personally, Joe Frazier has always been my favorite. Regardless, as I said: Its subjective.
Rope a dope is illegal according to Marquess of Queensbury rules.
Opinion everybody has one lol.But to rank Rocky ahead of him.. Just says it all he don't know nothing about boxing
Ali was an entertainer and a black leader during a time of racial unrest. What he had transcends his boxing record.
But none of the other Champs had to Face the " Knock you Dead " punchers that Ali, had to face either that most of them would have ducked
Greatest Heavyweight is absolutely without a doubt the greatest and most accomplished heavyweight ever. Most skilled at their peak either Tyson, or Lennox lewis IMO
I really like Tyson Fury but I do believe lennox would beat him
Lennox Lewis was starched I mean stretched out twice by two bums! No all time great gets stretched out on the floor.Twice!
Everything that’s been said in this video doesn’t change that I think Ali was the most naturally talented boxer of all time. If it wasn’t for exile due to Vietnam war Ali would’ve had a much more successful career.
Your comment doesn't change the fact that ali is not the GOAT like it or not
@@Aldine281 well there’s no specific criteria for being the goat. It’s down to matter of opinion and I still believe Ali is the goat (as do a couple of billion other people) You’re entitled to your opinion none the less.
@Aldiwjone281 Who should be greater? And please dont say Rocky Marciano.
@@KeithRenders Goat of what? Defeating an 34/35 years old Sonny Liston who lost in his 8th professional fight to journeymen when he (Ali) was 22 years od? Then makes Joe Frazier famous because of one fight then proceeds to lose to Ken Norton (should have lost the third fight) and the mighty "Leon Spinks" in his 8th professional fight, a HW champion with 17 losses...oh the golden era of the 1970s.
@@theentertainmentnation4694 Sonny Liston was still heavy weight champion of the world regardless of his age. If beating the heavyweight champion doesn’t give a fighter any credibility then what does? Ali then went on to beat all of the other top contenders as well including Floyd Patterson. Leon Spinks was a bad loss for Ali but by that point he shouldn’t have been fighting at all due to Parkinson’s already making an appearance and most big stadiums had banned Ali from fighting because of that reason at that point.
The Ken Norton fights do contest Ali’s legacy more than anything else but also contribute to his greatness as well. Ali got straight back in the ring after suffering a broken jaw and crushing defeat which shows courage and greatness. Norton couldn’t knock him out even though Ali was way past his best. Ali was at the stage where he was having to rest on the ropes and take punches (from a guy that had previously put him in hospital).
There were quite a lot of people who disliked Muhammad Ali. First, because he was young and brash. People were not used to a young boxer talking the way he did. And he happened to be black. He called himself "The Greatest" before he first won the heavyweight title. Then he went out and proved it. He fought the most fearsome heavyweight boxer to win the title, a monster named Sonny Liston, and nobody thought he had a chance. He fought the best boxers of the day during the 1960s and beat them all. When He announced he was a Muslim and changed his name, many people were incensed, including many black people. Black people were rising in the 1960s, and higher powers sought to bring Ali down. So, there was a concerted effort to get him off the scene, get him in the military. He lost a full three years of his prime before he won his court case and returned, then had to fight hard hitting Joe Frazier, whom he lost to, his first loss, assisted by a three-year layoff. He came back, then had to fight another monster in George Foreman, another fighter no one thought he would beat.
When Rocky Marciano was champ, he was the hardest hitting heavyweight. It was easy for him to beat lighter-hitting boxers.
Joe Louis also hit harder than most, as did Klitschko, and his competition was not as formidable as opponents Ali fought in two decades of fighting. Ali lost three years of his prime because the powers that were wanted him off the scene. Now someone has put together a video saying he wasn't the greatest. I won't say more, but I think if he hadn't had three years of his prime stolen, no one would have beaten him (although Frazier might have still beaten him in their first fight).Ali was "The Greatest," making it all the way back after a three-year layoff. Higher powers, I think governmental, powers, were overly interested in getting him off the scene--probably were responsible for his condition toward his end. I really believe this. You can take this video and stuff it where the sun don't shine.
By today's standards 1960😂-1968 ali would've been a cruiserweight maybe even followed the current trend and became a wt drained lt heavy.....even in today's world ali was so smooth and beatifully artistic ...the micheal jordan of boxing.
Fighting in the golden age of heavyweight boxing, Ali faced top tier opponents and beat them all. Joe Louis mostly faced bums. There was nothing that Ali lacked in his arsenal except maybe raw knockout power. Joe Louis had slow feet and was vulnerable to fast movers. Even old, slow and fat Ali riddled with Parkinson's was never knocked out. Joe Louis got his ass handed to him when he faced Rocky. Ali followed his heart and remains an inspiration for millions. Joe Louis wallows in the pages of boxing history as a soon to be forgotten great.
Muhammad Ali, the greatest of all time.
Agree.
Greatest personslity..greatest skill..but there are so many great heavy weights.. Not sure he could have beaten Marciano..who had an iron chin..incredible stamina..Not sure he would have won a rematch with foreman..always thought Jimmy Young beat him soundly. He always had problems with savvy counter punchers and jab artists just like himself..like holmes.. But no greater personality in history of sports..
He was racist
Ali was the best heavyweight but sugar ray was the goat period
Marciano was never defeated but were the quality of Marciano's opponents as dangerous as who Ali faced ? Marciano was a very hard puncher & had great endurance but Joe Louis's opinion here was given in the 1960s when Ali's leg mobility won him fights & BEFORE Ali proved he could take a punch (like from Frazier, Foreman, Shavers etc) Plus Joe Louis fought 'The bum of the month' who were fighters with pot bellies , out of shape & had nowhere near Ali's athleticism. Longevity of title hold can't really be a criterion....This is title clickbate trying to play 'agent provocateur ' to get clicks by re-writing history.....Joe Louis was certainly a great fighter in the 1930s-40s but I dont think in his prime he would have kept up with Ali. Nobody could.
Ali is the greatest for many reasons. But what stands out for me about Ali being the greatest are thwo distinct aspects : 1. is that no boxer in the history of the sport, invented and contributed different techniqies and styles of fighting the way Ali did. He was an Inventor, and a Boxing Scientist. 2. Ali planned and crafted a diffrent fight plan and strategy to overcome the strongest opponents, with unparalled boxing insight and intellect, and he put them together in different fights, and to great effect. He had an arsenal of fight plans, no boxer has ever had. I consider Ali for these reasons alone, as the greatest boxer who ever lived.
If have to pick good fighter or even the greatest fighter is mike tyson.
Ali in his prime is the greatest. I don't think anyone touches him. Just look at that fight with Cleveland Williams. Literally, poetry in motion.
No - Cleveland Williams was a shell by then
My ranking sugar 4 Louis 3 ali 2 rocky Marciano 1 rocky Marciano is the greatest
Joe Frazier6 George foreman 5
Ali fight from 1964 to 1979. 15 years while Rocky Marciano only 4 years.
When Ali become the Champion, Rocky is still alive but he dare not to fight Ali
He was 41 and hadn’t fought in 9 years. What a stupid comment
Didn't joe Louis lose to rocky Marciano i sure he did
Ali "Greatest of Alllll Time". Hands down Period!!!! No Debates!!!! Folks are Delusional in my Mike Tyson voice!!!!
Yes Ali is the greatest!
Ali is the greatest because he backed up what he said.Actions speak louder than words. His skills proved it .
You have to understand with George Foreman in the picture nobody was going to be able to get through that monster.George Foreman would have knocked Mike Tyson out in three seconds.Tyson couldn't stand there and trade punches with Tyson .
Ali beat all the tuff fighters no one could beat,Sonny Liston is another example. You see Ali defied all the odds ,and that's what makes him so great! Doing impossible in the ring.Going through impossible obstacles and becoming champion after his best days were behind him .Ali came back and did the impossible even though they took his boxing gloves away. That says it all.
,Ali was 32 and K.o.d George Foreman at age 24.
Holyfield? Are you kidding? The guy took 12 rounds to defeat a 5o yr old Foreman whom Ali had ko'd in 6 almost 20 years earlier.
49-0 guess who?
Rocky is the greatest
No i don't believe louis is the greatest it rocky Marciano he beat Louis ali don't know if he wouldn't beat him he say rocky Marciano better than Joe Frazier
Ali vs Louis---who?
If Ali hadn’t knocked out Foreman, there wouldn’t be a conversation about him being the greatest of all time. Other boxers get discredited for longevity despite being great in their youth. Loss to Frazier and no other notable wins besides Liston and Foreman does it for me. Just all talk and politics.
Ali would beat them all flat-footed Joe Louis and Marciano…
In his prime hed have given Marciano a boxing lesson his losses happened way past his prime Joe Louis too
Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time....he himself even said when he says he's the greatest he means he's the greatest heavyweight of all time....but pound for pound it's sugar Ray Robinson...Ali said Ray Robinson as the greatest pound for pound fighter of all time...
Please tell me the points of those periods
@@hulkwithagun9749what do you mean by that? Ali is known as the greatest because of what he did both OUTSIDE and INSIDE the ring. He resembled racial freedom outside of the ring, and standing up for what you belive in. He also was a heavy underdog on many occasions and nobody billed he would win, but he won. Even out of his prime he was still beating the worlds best. His trash talk and poetry also made him more famous and an icon. On the other hand, sugar ray was beatuful in the ring. He beat a lot more ATG than ali did, and went in a 40 fight winstreak, and another 85 winstreak. Nobody beat him twice until he was 40 years old. In conclusion ali is more known for both in the ring and out of it, while sugar ray was known only for what he did in the ring.

@@Boxinlegends I think your correct on that too. Both were dedicated to a sport that hurt them ways that could never be healed even by today’s standards. Ali is AWESOME but he is certaintly NOT THE GREATEST BOXER OF ALL TIME.
FUCKING GREAT BUT NOT THE GREATEST
Nice video 👍🏻. I agree, there’s other greats who could’ve beat Ali and are accomplished in ways that Ali wasn’t. I think one big factor going for Ali that was left out of the video was the number of fights/ victories Ali had against hall of famers. I can’t think of a heavyweight anywhere near Ali in that category.
Pacman not considered to be GOAT because he's Asian.. thats the rule of Boxing history of USA.
Nothing beaten rocky Marciano Ali say he better than Joe Frazier he beat Louis the only thing to beat rocky Marciano is a plane clash rip legend Rocky and all of them
Ali lost his prime to prison
He didn't go to prison
I am the greatest and there's nothing you can do about it
Joe Louis got knocked out by a mediocre German boxer when he was in his prime...sorry.
Rocky Marciano is the greatest.
One argument for Ali as the greatest heavyweight is he fought every top contender in his division. No other heavyweight in history did that. His only loss was as an old man to Larry Holmes. That's how the lighter weight fighters became legends. Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, Willie Pep, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler all cleaned out their divisions. Marciano missed a few, including Joey Maxim and the knockout artist, Cleveland Williams. With Ali there are no question marks about, "Who would have won if he fought Shavers, Chavalo, Lyle, etc? You can name them all. They are on his ledger.
Joe Louis by murder
Ali boomya. ALLDAY.....cut it out
He won the title in February 1964. He relinquished the title in May 1979. No heavyweight champion had a span of over 15 years!!! Only Ali! The Greatest!
Wladimir Klitschko was champ from 2000 and last held a belt in 2015. He also had considerable more time holding the belts between those dates.
@bobbysamuel3462 how many of those years was he Undisputed champion? None. Ali was for seven years. Should have been 10 but they stole 3 years.
Everything is opinionated.
Someone's choice of greatest athlete is not the same as the other 10 people.
Muhammad Ali is the greatest
I wish UFC was a thing in his time, so people could see him getting destroyed by REAL fighters.
Those are two different sports dummy. He would destroy those ufc fighters in a boxing ring anyways
Go back to your trailer.

Yeah, I can't disagree. 25 title defenses...? Can't really argue with that.
Muhammad Ali is the Greatest
Bruh did you even watch the video 🤦🏻♂️
Maybe not ali not joe louis not sugar the greatest of all time is rocky Marciano he the greatest 49-0 even ali didn't know he would beat him rocky Marciano is the greatest he beat joe louis since him out of ring rocky Marciano is the greatest of all time
Ali is the goat of boxing. Foreman Liston Frazier Patterson Norton Shavers. A comeback after 5 years of suspension. 💯🐐💪
Your opinion doesn't make it true
Ali is not the GOAT
@@Aldine281 my opinion is the opinion of most people. Watch statistics.
For most people it's true.
Ali is the goat of boxing🥊
Norton won the trilogy against Ali,Shavers was a great puncher, with no stamina and a mediocre chin.
Patterson rather a small guy for heavyweighter.
Ali is one of the greatest and sure the brighest star, but is he undoubtedly the Greatest?I wouldn't be so sure.
Muhammad Ali said he’s the greatest, Joe Louis didn’t have to. His punches spoke for themselves. Whereas Ali (big fan of both) punched more like a 12 year old girl In comparison. Just saying.
Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight of all time. Sugar Ray Robinson is the greatest pound for pound fighter of all time.
HURRICANE IS KING
I love Ali but I’ve watched several of his fights && in my opinion he was that great his skill was boring he threw a lot of empty hits && a lot times he barely throw punches he leaned on ropes a lot moved around a lot && seemingly intentionally for whatever took a lot of hits even a lot of the fights he won his opponents to me was the better fighter that’s just my opinion because I’ve been binge watching his fights && I just don’t see what everyone else did tbh
I totally agree 100% with this video as far as that Ali is not the greatest , Floyd is the greatest he’s beat the most champions and a plus is that he’s made the most money and sold the most ppv’s and is undefeated and number 1 P4P
He's not even that fast. Even when I compare footage to Tyson, he's nowhere close. He's considered the greatest because of his celebrity.
He wasn't the greatest boxer at all. He got hit a lot, he grabbed more than a lot and without that he would have been beaten by a lot of fighters.
Ali defeated the very best of his time. And became 3 times heavyweight champion of the world. until he got sick! Marcaino never defeated a young great aponent. Marciano ducked Floyd Paterson, and would turn the other check when Liston the bruser who beat everone in the prison name was mentioned. And big cat Cleveland Williams who had 34 professional fights under his belt, Marciano wood turn to other cheek At The Mention of their names . Marciano retired at only 32 and if he wanted to be heavyweight champion of the world so bad why didn't he give those guys a shot? Remember Liston was supposed to be old nine years later later when he fought Ali! And they was saying Cleveland Williams was washed up when he fought Ali. So then why didn't the so-called great 185 lb Marciano fight these two 220 lb Giants. Marciano probably wouldn't have been undefeated and he knew that that's why he retired at 32. And on a different note there was verbal static between Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali. Ali call Joe Louis and Uncle Tom so I can see where Joe Lewis would pick little 185 lb messy Marciano to KO Ali the same as Earl Spence buddy piced him to KO Terence Crawford. But if Sonny Liston a guy that Marciano ducked and for good reason couldn't KO Ali and big George could in Ko him as well as Ernie shavers there is no way that Marciano would KO Ali in 6 rounds. That hater talk, that dont rationally make sence. Klitschko and Holyfield would be a more of an accurate comparison because of their fights. Both did well in their times. But to say whether or not they were greater in their times than Ali I can't say because both had been ko'd where Ali was never KO'D even after being sick!
You simply cannot objectively state Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight of all time.
There are so many more variables that go into ranking a fighter. You didnt even talk about the levels of opposition, hof & top 10 fighters fought and defeated, etc.
How about you skipping over the fact that Joe Louis was knocked out by Max Schmeling in his prime?
Ali in his prime (66-67) was making his opponents look like they were moving in slow motion.
Ali was exiled at 25 before he had even seen his best years, came back after 3yrs 7months inactivity and worked his way back up, and dominated the best division in heavyweight history. All doing so with diminished abilites speed and reflexes.
I could go on and on with actual specifics but that's not the point of this comment...
Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time in my OPINION.
Its funny how you're using this video to actually try to sell this as a fact. If you were going to make a move this bold, i would have thought you would have done a little more homework and included at lot more stats to back up your claim.
There's plenty more than just championship reign durations, knockouts, and amount of times somebody has won the title. You barely scraped the surface of all the components that factor into ranking a fighter.
Credibility out the window. Sorry
Mohammad Ali isn't the greatest of all time in boxing and certainly can't be the greatest boxer of all time. He said so of himself many times and that fact alone disqualified him. If I were to name a boxer for the title, I'll say Lennox Lewis.
