    I've tried to get dual exhaust tips. The rear diffuser I've installed has the openings for dual. I cant seem to find any for my M340i that fit on properly without having to cut the exhaust itself and possibly mess up the emissions and make the check engine light come on. Any recommendations? 😫

    • @accelerated_motion
      @accelerated_motion  Před 3 lety

      Your exhaust tips should bang off with a hammer, as mine did in my video. The tips I have slipped right over the existing piping under the stock tips. No cutting required, no emissions or check engine light issues. I assume it would be the same for your 340.

    Hey sir, I also have a BMW 440i I am also looking at buying the bmw carbon fiber tips. One of the factors I’m considering buying them is the sound quality. I have herd that it does make the exhaust sound better with more pops are growl. Just curious from an actual customer your thoughts of the sound difference.

      I will say, by adding the tips, it muffled the sound a tiny bit more, but nothing super noticeable. You'll want to measure your stock tip diameter and decide what size to order.

    • @accelerated_motion

    • @accelerated_motion
      @accelerated_motion  Před 4 lety +3

      Standard non-M sport 335 tips are 60mm I think. So as long as you buy a set that are larger and adjustable, you should be ok. Just to be sure, I would measure what your current tips are. Keep in mind that the pipe underneath the tip is actually a smaller diameter. You could bang one of your tips off and measure the pipe underneath. Wouldnt take long to do and it can be put back on. Thats what I would recommend doing.

      Brulpijpfanaat thanks! I appreciate the support! For your situation, I would go with 63mm. As long as it’s somewhat adjustable like mine, you’ll be able to tighten it down enough to keep it from moving. I fear that if you go with 60mm, it won’t slide over your existing pipe.
