  • GOOD NEWS!
Remote ID for drones can't possibly survive our community's love of aviation. Ken shows you how and why it is destined for FAILURE.

Finally a logical video on RID...this hobby means to damn much to me, I can't lose it...complying keeps me in it, that's what I'm gonna do!

  • @shaynejenkins446

    Not a chance in hell.

  • @Yusefkhanfpv

There is only one reason the faa does this: For power and greed.

  • @RickyL305

Ken, what remote i.d. is best compatible with a DJI phantom?

  • @nightlightabcd

If drones become a political issue, then the government knows who you are and where you live!!

  • @CasperEspresso

If it can be weaponized, it will be. Limits and restrictions are what power brokers do.

  • @kev4317

If I fly a sub 250 DJI and just for fun do I have to put on on my drone?

  • @patriotu.s.elections7879

I do not and Will Not Comply never ever F*

  • @backyard3749

There won't be any drone police. There might be some authority types questioning pilots flying in legal, but very public places when the karens and chads call them. Or of course, maybe catching the few idiots who fly over big events or emergencies or no fly zones. But that's it. The vast majority of us will never have to deal with anyone, ever. The real problem is the gov't thinking this idiotic RID nonsense helps catch a small number of idiots by hanging locks and rules on everyone. It has been six months since this video came out and what has changed?

  • @joedrummond946

Giant load of a b.s. know how you make them give up? By mass non-compliance. Not by complying and thinking they're going to "give up" on their revenue generation scheme? Boundaries! If you don't have boundaries you don't have a thing. The government is at maximum regulation, it cannot regulate another thing, they've had their fill, stop giving the government more power, money and resources. its a feral dog, it is not your home boy, amigo.

  • @MolloBolloEsquire

It won't be too much trouble for them and they don't need to send police to investigate. They'll simply check flight logs for violations and use the RID to mail you a nice little bill.

  • @carlgonzales8060

$300!!! That's how much I paid for my drone! I don't fly as much as I would like. Maybe a handful of times a year, but I can't afford the penalties either. If I don't get a RemoteID module for my Phantom 2 Standard, I cannot renew my Small UAS Certificate of Registration! Guess I'm grounding myself for a while.

  • @joshrice5894

I hope you are right Brother and yeah that guy looked a lot better without that graffiti on his face and you look a lot better when you wear long sleeve shirts GOD Bless You

  • @choppergirl

Maybe if there had never been jokers flooding the hobby with newbs, this would of never happened.

  • @SpaceStickwithSpaceTick

You are a very hopeful person but all the examples of regulations that were given up on were of extremely popular things. The fact is that the home made drone hobby is not that large, and the main point of this regulation was to get the RID onto mass produced camera drones like DJI. The FAA is probably not going to get rid of this for a few decades at least. It is pretty impressive the kind of performance you can get with a 250 grams quad at least so at least that's a bright side (unless you do commercial work RIP).

  • @MrEye4get

Don't forget to put a RID in your pocket as well!

  • @Accurize2

I can tell you I am a local police shift supervisor. And if I get a call about a drone flying and not on the app…I ain’t doing shit. That’s a federal law, I don’t enforce those. The FAA can send their non-existent “police force” out, but I have a feeling the pilot will be out of battery and I’ll be on another call by then.

  • @maluminse6013

Good luck convincing a judge that your clever compliance/non-compliance hack is legit. If anything you're likely to end up with a worse legal result because authoritarian types tend not to like being jerked around

  • @maluminse6013

It's not always so much about what the authorities WILL do with the new authority that they're granted. It's what they CAN do if they so choose. If you rub them the wrong way. If they think you're wrong on something unrelated but can't prove it. Etc.
