This was a tough one. We've never in all these years, have ever left a piece of gear somewhere. To get it back was extraordinary. Faith in humanity somewhat restored. Despite that and other setbacks we still had a good time. Isn't that all that really matters. The Mini 4 is nice! Fun little flyer.

Both the Mini 3 series and the 4 are so much quieter than the mini2. 😊 love the miniature review, especially with the edge of the sheet showing 😂 such fun.

With the recent purchase of the Air 3 along with the Fly More combo package, I have no need for a second RC, and especially not one that requires me to use my phone. However, it seems that DJI only packages the Mini 4 Pro with the basic RC and not as a stand alone drone. I have already downloaded and installed the latest RC2 software update which (as I understand it) is capable of operating the Mini 4 Pro but for whatever reason, DJI seems to think I should pay for another RC if I want to add the Mini 4 to my growing fleet. Not gonna happen.

2:00...unpaid extras. I've had my Mini 4 Pro all of 4 days. The only other "Mini" drone I owned was the Mini SE. This new drone is killin' it. Easily compares in photo/video quality to my Air 2S & Evo Lite+. Love the night footage. It's one of my favorite modes to shoot. 9:40...WOW! 🤣🤣 Love the out takes!

It's crazy I didn't hear about the mini 4 yet until a couple days ago going onto DJI's website, here I am watching a video, amazing looking drone
i Bought it and i like it alot did an Upgrade from the mini 2 and there is a big improvment how the drone Handels

I picked up a mini se for 2 bills on adorama a while back to try out and see what the drone hype was about....Timing was perfect for me to get an Air 3....I use my Z fold phone to fly with so I have the RC-N2 basic controller....I wanted a sub 250 drone....and now the Mini 4 pro using O4 is a blessing if I can get a drone only version someday soon! Try you some X real glasses if you really want to spice things up without going full VR....it's been a neat upgrade to my personal system...awesome looking new Mini 4.....thanks for the scenic review Mr. Ken !
Yes the 4 has bigger range ie strong signal. That is why the remote doesn't work with the 3. The 4 has a 2g internal drive Ken you could've kept recording

You were lucky getting your GoPro back, reminds me of a similar incident I had when I was visiting my cuz in 2015. We were on a road trip and stopped off on the capital of West Virginia. We parked the car next to a popular covered market and went for a strole for a couple of hours. On our way back I noticed something sitting on the roof of the car, it was my cousins ipad! 😮
Amazed it was still there, it was backing hot but once it cooled down, it was fine. My cuz must've put it there when she was getting out of the car but forgot to put it back. Had it been in London, it would've been long gone.

One thing you might want to consider or mention is the total time duration of a video when using 4K. In 1080, there seems to be NO time quantity max that I'm aware of!! BUT in 4K, 4:51(time) is a curse and the drone will start recording a separate video!!! Kind of a BUMMER!! Took me forever to figure it out. My son-in-law was a GREAT asset in FINALLY figuring it out!!!!

I just wish it was the same price as mine of course mine was under $500. Yeah it's a mini v1. I hate it. Every time I try flying past the football field deforestation I get a RTH Also night vision is unavailable. That looks great, but I still wouldn't be

I'm confused. You flew that drone after sunset, and it appears that you didn't add any additional warning lights on to it... you were just using the drone's built-in warning lights. Per FAA rules, to do a night flight like that, you have to have warning lights on the drone that can be seen at a distance of three miles. So, to do night flights legally, you would have had to add some additional high-power warning lights. Am I missing something, or did you just document a total violation of the FAA rules for flying a drone at night?

There's a clear view of the drone at the 10:50 point in the video. I'm not seeing any lights that would be capable of being seen three miles away.
I’m confused even more now. No where in the beginning of the video, where the top of the drone is clearly visible, is there a strobe. Or at the end of the video, where the top of the drone is visible, is there any strobe as required.
The fact that “Ken” is saying all rules were followed and provides a link to a light that SHOULD be on the drone is leading people to believe the rules were followed when in actuality… they were not.
I don’t want to be the guy that knit picks “small” things like this… but don’t lie. The fact that no one called him out other than you is astonishing.
It’s people that don’t follow the rules that ruin it for all of us.

While you were in there, did you notice the sticker waaaay down inside the battery compartment that says “laser?” What is THAT?
I kept ahold of my original mavic mini and after sll the updates its had. The signal strength is garbage. They aftually crippled its range massively, the places ive always flow my fpv quads and my mini. And it won't go literally half as far as it used to.. its kinda sucky because for a basic acrew around cinema type drone its a good little quad.. now i have the original controller as well and i take excellent care of it all so its not like its been best up or anything heck there isnt even any bugs or etc on it i keep it that clean😅❤

Ken, Does this mean you are retiring the P4 ?, Also have you given up on seeing a P5 ?, The Mini 4 was a surpise release being released so close to the Mini 3. with new Active Track and O4 which was not released in the Air 3 only a couples of months ago. What will be next for The Mini range ?
With 360 degree obstacle avoidance on the mini 4 why would it matter if the return to home height was set so high ?
8:35 I would be interested to know if you would have gotten clear results with 60 FPS and a higher ISO. But well, the result on a raw basis is quite good, and definitely better than with the Mini 2.

How were you able to do uptown shot being close to the airport? I would love to do like you and film uptown Charlotte at night but it doesn’t work when I’m close to a airport.
