Oh l commented before, to wait till Tonic got hard fit and you would feel a very different lrish Draught horse! Hes just finding himself now and wont be such a bus to ride in future but he will still mind you...just occasionally though he will take matters into his own hoofs! Especially when he sees something he deems jumpable in his blood up phase! I hope you carry on with no live Hunting just Trail and Drag...
I was a Polo groom back in the early 80s..(Les Diables Bleus) and ld have loved working for a Player with your attitude! You remind me of Julian Hipwood in that way. He was a lovely natural rider too.

I want to thank you for treating your horse with kindness and respect. I just watched a small amount of a video from an Irish hunt. I had to stop watching as the riders were whipping and spurring their horses continuously. It was a disgusting example of abuse. They even took the whip to the dogs before they even left the truck. Half the enjoyment of watching your video is seeing what a gentleman you are to your horses.

How do you show your horses for this, do you use caulks or studs? And another Q, on those rock walls I noticed everyone seems to jump kind of where they want to. I would assume a lot of the rocks get knocked down and it would be a drag to land a hoof on top of one. Do the hunts or landowners organize any kind of maintenance on rock walls or fences? Thanks! A former eventer.
