It's obvious that there has to be a trade-off between quality and price at some point, but this one looks like it's well below the line of what's acceptable.
Definitely. Plenty of good low cost options that do get the basics right, I wasn't expecting anything jaw dropping but just some basic care and attention 🙂
@@ckampouris Pagani, Tandorio, Bliger...all offer NH34 watches at a similar price point. and I've not had such bad experiences. Obviously could add many more brands on the list if you want a 3 hander - Steeldive spring to mind. My issue here is with assembly and QC - not so much the quality of the parts. Yes the lume was poor, but if the watch was assembled with some level of care and not scuffed (bracelet brushing) and scratched out the box with a bent crown stem I'd be much more kind towards it.
Thank you for the review. I almost bought a phoibos gmt when it was released could've had it for 300 usd. Its very well made. But with all this craziness around the seiko gmt movement i keep thinking i dont need one! Just to say i own one in my collection??? Well my gstb100 g shock is a gmt. Dont need another.. 🤷♂️
@sivanstar not all Phoibos use the Seiko movement. A quick check shows they use Sellita and Miyota movements as well. Long Island watch has their Eagle Ray GMT with a Rhonda movement for $200 USD.

@@nextonthewrist Like what? Care to share a model at the same price point that gives more quality?

Phoibos has the Swiss Rhonda movement if my memory is correct. It’s probably double the price of the watch in this video, but a much better deal IMO.
@@txmogger the phoibos voyager uses the seiko movements my friend.. It's priced at around 400usd but was a lot cheaper when it came out..

I bought the alba al4187x1 auto, it's a nice watch cost me 80 aud. Thinking about getting a bulova next.
excellent review. that seems like a terrible 'homage' lol. could you please review the Q Timex Chronograph next?
The color gmt hand is red or orange ?
Red, to my eyes anyway 😅
Hard to find nice things to say about this watch. Maybe some decent magnification from the cyclops?
Haha there isn't much but yes good point, the magnification isn't too bad actually! 😂
