- First time for me filming a mod build, much harder doing everything behind a lens rather than behind a loupe.... and this took an age to edit...but hopefully something interesting at least - definitely a nice way to repurpose a bad watch.

Completely agree with you on using quality parts. If you don’t have time to do it right, you won’t have time to do it again. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve spent a dollar to get a dime, but your time and money doing this wasn’t wasted at all. Great practice with little financial risk of screwing up. Great job.
Very nice and clean build. Well done!
Cheers bud 🍻
Amazing content, keep it up!
thanks for the great video 👍
My pleasure thanks for watching 🙂👍
Nice, simple and concise video.
Thank you 🙂👍
Awesome job buddy thank you!! This is an amazing video 👍👏
My pleasure cheers for watching 🍻
I purchase multiple sets of hands for a build, from AliExpress so that if there is an issue I have back up
Good advice 🙂👍
Great vid!! I want to undertake the task of building my own timepiece!! It's the sourcing part that kills me. Lol I'm easily overwhelmed with information and stop myself in my tracks 😕 keep up the good work.
Haha thank you! Its all trial and error - the amount of damage I caused and vast array of incompatible parts I've purchased is comedic to look back on 😂... Enjoy the journey though, however much you research you'll learn the most by trying 🙂👍
@nextonthewrist damn solid advice sir lol #RESPECT
hey @nextonthewrist ! I had a question I was hoping you could help out with... I'm building my first seiko gmt mod and I'm in the process of ordering tools. I prefer the rolex-style caseback like you've got in your video, and I was hoping you could recommend a good caseback tool for this specific style caseback? maybe one recommendation in the low budget range and one in the mid budget range if thats possible?
Thanks in advance!! :)
Hey honestly I swear by the Bergeon 8008 removal tool for these unless you want to spend $$$...make sure you buy the actual Bergeon one, the cheaper copies don't work. But on a plain caseback it's super sticky and will give you plenty of torque to secure everything nice and tight. I am able to use it on a lot of removals too 🙂👍
I want that GMT hand, where can I find that? Great build by the way.
Thanks bud, the GMT hand came as a set with the dial I think on this one from ali-express, link is
