@@paddydoublems The joke isn't really on Alex Trebek (rest in power). He was more like a frustrated substitute teacher. It was the dumb celebrities he had to put up with. It's the best case scenario for having someone do you on SNL.
Trebek loved the Black Jeopardy sketches as well and praised Kenan Thompson for doing fantastic Jeopardy sketches following in Will Ferrell's giant footsteps.
I love how Potent Potables is always a category but they never choose it 😂

Alex Trebeck really enjoyed those SNL Celebrity Jeopardy skits. I've heard that Sean Connery enjoyed them, too. Alex Trebeck said in an interview that despite what SNL shows, he and Sean don't know each other and have never met each other, either.
I loled at "I Garfunkled your mother."
Whoever came up with the idea to have Winona do a Bjork impression should get all the money.
We lost both Sean Connery and Alex trebek within a week of each other :(

For what it's worth, the "classic" rerun SNL on the 14th (the one edited down to an hour) was from Dec. 7, 1996 which featured the very first Celebrity Jeopardy sketch where the celebrities were Sean Connery, Burt Reynolds and Jerry Lewis. After the sketch, going into the break, they inserted the "Goodnight" bit from the sketch included in this video, as a sort of farewell from Alex Trebek (though all of the portrayed celebrities in the 1996 sketch are now gone).
@@technomikelyons as has been suggested, doing a Heavenly Jeopardy sketch should be done. Doing that lineup would bring it full circle. But in the event that Martin Short is unavailable, who could do Jerry Lewis?

The real Alex Trebek has such a great sense of humor! Gotta love him! I watch some older game shows on a cable channel where he's the host, and he's always friendly and shows that sense of humor. It's great that he made a cameo in this sketch.

@@TheBeccalynn90 There were 3 segments between the first and fifth where Sean Connery wasn't parodied (Darrell played 3 different celebrities). Burt Reynolds was impersonated instead. Once norm left, Sean Connery became the consistent celebrity to impersonate instead.
