Man nice work fellas, and just look at the power curve on that last pull... It dosent Mt. Everest at 1000, it comes up and holds massive power for a substantial amount of rpm... every gearchange will be right back into the meat of the powerband, very impressive.

It's great to see PFi endorse something better than the ebay rip-offs of Garretts stuff... but those Apex things are pretty rough. They had a booth at TX2K, where I handled them. Their "hubless" design was just cutting the hub off and grinder blending the material. If you can balance the assembly, that's not a bad thing, but what was, was the center point wasn't on center and each groove looked different. Xona makes the highest quality and best performing turbos in each import sized turbo.
it’d be fun to back to back test xona and an apex . i love them all . ebay ones were used to help a lot of people get into the game and always nice to learn on cheap stuff. You see as they grow , serious stuff comes out .
Brent did you know jerom schmidt that owned a shop in Ogden utah like ten years ago? He tuned my d15 on crome like ten years ago....... Then i heard he closed down and moved to texas not long after.....

When I was 16 years old and I bought a 1970 Datsun 1200 (Sunny) fastback the man who lived across the street gave me a Weber 32/36 progressive downdraft carb from his Fiat to replace the tiny Hitachi carb from Nissan. I had no idea what he was talking about but I asked my my dad and he explained it all to me, and helped me to replace all the gaskets and accelerator pump. Then the car stalled on the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge and I was able to see that the carb linkage had broken, fix it with a spring from a ball-point pen, get my date to the concert and back home. All because I knew what I had under the hood as a teenager.

I am baffled by men who say "I don't know, I just put it in there". Whether it's a gate spring, fuel pump, fuel... you should know.
