Yes but this shouldn’t have happened the welds didn’t have the penetration necessary to be structural. For me to come to sick week from the UK and have an absolutely unforgettable time with everyone was only possible because I lost my dad 4 years ago. I finally got his estate finalised last year not much before sick week was announced and when it was I knew I going to come, make it first visit to the states and do something for me to remember forever.
You and Shane were one of many father son teams I met and honestly seeing these partnerships, these family bonds makes me so humble and it helps in a way with my lose. I was only 33 when he died and we should have had way more time together. He met my daughter but never met my son (their 5 and 2 now) and these stories just show me how to be with them and how I want my relationship with my kids to be when they grow up.

Man the slow motion of that wheel walking down the track was crazy! Thank goodness it happened in the 60 ft and not out the back end, Glad Shane's OK and like Brent said the bonding he and his kiddo had on sick week is a win already. Maybe a bit painful now, but it will be a great family story to look back on for generations... Shout out to Brent for his usual positive outlook and being a great dad!

I just want to say that you and your son's dedication the whole week is incredible. I was more impressed with you two than any times that people made, fastest runs, etc. That level of commitment really shows the dedication towards it all. Congrats on completing a difficult week. I can't wait to see you two do it again.

Glad Shane is ok first of all, but the way so many come together to help you guys out really just shows a couple things. A) It shows the compassion of the racing community, and B) It proves that so many out there respect the shit out of you Brent! Hope to see you two at 2.0 next year here in Oklahoma!

Glad Shane is okay. The car can be fixed. He's lucky to have a dad like you, Brent.
And it was super cool to see Blaine come check on y'all. That kid is wise beyond his age.
Also, Cleet needs to buy a telehandler for the FF. It'd be really helpful moving around all his Crown Vics too.

Vehicles are replaceable. The one operating the vehicle isn't. Im so glad he came out good. Now you guys know everything there is to know about that set up. Its a bummer that he crashed. But look at it this way. This an opportunity to go back rebuild improve and come back swinging even harder. Father son team. The dedication in his heart is gold. Keep that attitude Shane. Hopefully ill be cruisin with y'all to the next track one day. Dont stop what your doing. Keep those wheels rollin.
