so sad - that on throne sat someone like Murad IV.
source talked about 6 woman which the Sultan Murad IV had- indirect source talked about 7 woman.
Venedik Elçisi Pietro Foscarini 1632 yılına ait yazılarında:
in early murad´s reign are mention about two woman. one of them was ayse haseki sultan the first haseki mandel said that she became favorit afther what she born murad´s first born sonne. according to mandel she was also mother sulejman, mehmed, alaedin, abdulhamind, gevherhan, ismihan, hafsa, handzade, kaya ismihan, safiye and rukie 1640. peci said that all son´s from her died in theire chilhood. mandel said that from 12 children who murad had with ayse survived only 4 daughter safie, kaya, rukiye, handzade, there is also mention that mother kaya in this case ayse fought with kosem to she could chose husband her daughter . we also know that kaya, handzade, rukuye, and safyie were married to the kosem´s candidates.
there is also mention about sanavber hatun- charter of her charity was from 1628, so she she could be one of his first wives and the mother of his other daughter
de chassepol also talked about second haseki name rossana sultan perci sad that name second haseki appears at the end of the reign of Sultan Murad IV and completely disappeared in february 1640 near Murad's death. some source said that second haseki is resposible for the dead murad´s brother when kosem found proof about her bad behaviour sultan murad IV let executed her and burried her deep in his heart. there is also mention about another woman emighur sister whom was killed by second haseki.
also according to evlia celebi from 32 children whom murad had only 8 daughter´s survived. 4 of them were ayse, one one could be from sanavber and there was another three.
It is said that murad´s favorit let execuced murad ´s broter´s 1635 one of them had had his full brother. this situacion also mention foscarini when he said murad´s wife inform him what "his brother" did in his ambsence. ayse or second haseki talked about one brother who was executed in 1635 like about his brother. according to some historians it was sulejman.
but according to palace register sehzadeler who were alive in 1622 were murad, bayezid, huseyin, kasim,Ibrahim.
alderson also mention that during the reign of osman II there were five sehzadeler whowere under protection kosem mehmed, murad, sulejman(mayby bayezid/huseyin), kasim, ibrahim mehmed was executed in 1621. according to source from 17 centuries was beyezid son kosem. source also said that bayezid could be son mahfiruz because when he was born she was alredy dead. why it is bayezid and not huseyin. it is simple according to some source while kosem born another daughter another woman she gave birth to a fourth son huseyin was born 1613 according to sicilii osmany atike was born 1613 and oztuma sad that atike was daughter kosem. tezcan also sad that atike was married at the age 3 or 4 her the first husband died 1618. atike was born 1613 while another woman born her four son-husein 1613, she was not happy so she let her married in the age 3 or 4.
back to murad IV source also said that murad IV was exellet Warrior but he was not favorite from peoples like her eldest brother bayezid who was his own eldest brother.because he had no sehzade who survived he he wanted to end the Ottoman dynasty. the first he let executed kasim , then uncle mustafa and Ibrahim but kosem she lied on her deathbed when she said him that Ibrahim was long dead. it is also said that when murad let killed one of his brother in 1635 Bayezid? son kosem her relationship with Murad had cooled completely and when he let executed in 1637 kasim, her heart did not stop crying.
sehzade mehmedsource said that when osman let killed her son mehmed her love to him cooled, because she had afraid from another sons she diceded deposed to him and put on throne her yonger son murad, some source said that she she missed her older son because he was not in Istanbul during the coup.
but source also said that she still love murad and Ibrahim
source murad died in 27 years He invited the executioner to his deathbed, with the task of executing his mentally retarded brother Ibrahim, who could have marked the end of the Ottoman line of rulers. However, the order was not carried out and Ibrahim became his successor, which fatally affected the events in the following years
.the cause of murad's death is shrouded in chance because some rumours said that to gevherhan sultan eldest from 25 children of kosem could saved her yonger brother Ibrahim she poisoned to him. some other indirect source said that gevherhan also poisoned his sons to saved ibrahim. in another version was sons murad´s posoned his own mother because she had sfraid about her another sons. but these source didn´t mention that kosem would be able poisoned her own son.
what do we know definiteli is Murad IV. b july 27.1612 died in 1640 at the age of 27 of cirrhosis of the liver.
question is if murad IV died natural death or he was trully poisoned by his own family because he was so sruel and he wanted end ottoman dynasty.
what do we also know is that gevherhan the most propabyl didn´t had good relationship with murad. there was source who said that in 1632 her husband topal pasha want deposed murad and let put on throne bayezid about whom source talked like about eledest own brother murad´s . indirect source also said that gevherhan poisoned to him to save ibrahim infront of .
why murad died on cirrhosis of the liver when it was himself who banned the consumption of alcohol.
Ps.: source said that gevherhan was eldest child kosem sultan b.1603. according to borekci gevherhan was enrolled as the only female member of the family after valide handan sultan in 1604 but according to sakaoglu it wasn´t gevherhan daughter selim II because she was alredy dead. cortarini mention fact that ahmed sadduced yong mahpeyker hatun durring the reign mehmed III. also sicili osmany said that eldest child ahmed was born 15.11.1603 he thought that it was osman but osman was brn 4.11.1604 it was the most propably gevherhan. source said that gevherhan was the most propably edest child kosem thanks to whom she became haseki in 1604 george sandys said that "he also "had" married his concubine the mother of his yonger sonne" he talked about past time, which mean that when kosem became mother mehmed she must have been haseki a long time ago
