My 1:24 twist .54 caliber barrel should be close to being finished soon I hope. I'm going to have a mold made based off my bore measurements once I receive it. I'm debating what bullet weight I should go with still though.
@@randymiller5008 this is true I've also modified some molds in order to shoot more from certain rifles more accurately and dedicated those molds with that rifle.
@@idaholewis265 I have a 460gr mold but I'm looking for a little bit longer bullet. I'm thinking 125gr heavier at 585gr give or take. This depends on the type of projectile also. I like in Indiana so muzzleloaders are pretty common in the states culture and we have a lot of open areas for shoot long range plinking. Typically when hunting 25 yard to 300 is the usual but I never take shots like that on deer, now coyotes I have. I need to find a peep and globe for a CVA 1" barrel though since mine is going to be made from a 50 cal 1:66 re cut to 54 1:24 twist
Could you tell me what type of sights you are using and where one could obtain them? I enjoy watching your videos and would like to tap into your knowledge. I use to shoot a lot but now things have messed up my ability to do the things I like to do on a regular basis. Target shooting is one of the activities I try to do.

Every gun shoots different. In my experience. The bullet you hate the most is always the one your gun likes the best. Lol. So True 👍
Kind of a tough decision, But If it were me I would be looking in the 500 to 600 Grain Range
