  • The cream/white coil is 217031 in the IPL's. The black coil would be part off the 300387 kit. I don't think the two share the same flywheel. If some had previously swapped flywheels on the the project saw, that would completely alter this information, but I do not believe this to be the case.

Thanks for this video! I also have one of these saws with weak spark. I found the black coil on Ebay for $18. It has a longer plug wire because it came off a different model. I found the #22 flywheel also on Ebay for $12. Now it has good strong spark & runs great. If it wasn't for this video & getting lucky finding the parts, this saw would have been trashed. Thanks again!!!

There was also two cranks in those mini Mac's . I had a but load of them and one day I was gonna take the electronic coil and flywheel off of a saw and put it on a points model and that's how I found out there is two different size cranks , the shaft size is different where the flywheel goes on crack . I decided I've had my fill of those mini Mac's so I gave them to a lawnmower shop / lawnmower salvage yard in West Texas I'm friends with . I kept the first one of those mini Mac models made just because a good friend gave it to me case and all it runs but I ain't gonna cut with it . I won't part with all the other Mac's I have .

Thank you for this video. I recently bought a $20 McCulloch Eager Beaver 2014 and got it running with a rebuild of the Zama carb. Google was of limited help, but your videos, along with some others helped me learn a lot. Mine is model 600032-28. As far as I can tell, mine is from somewhere between 6/1993 and 5/1996. Thank you for your content. Bruce Pender sent me over initially when I discovered your channel.

I have an eager beaver that honestly I didn't know I even had. Found it on my shelves one day. I've heard that they are a real pain in the ass to work on. Maybe one day I'll find out if I ever get to it before I forget I have it again😄😄

Did anyone use one of the last US McCulloch dealers, I think it was in Fayetteville, SC or maybe it was MO for parts? I have lost my contact info for them, they were great but shut down, owner retired. Website had a lot of good info covering the later MTD era equipment, long gone now.

As a general rule, the black cased electronic ignition 110, 120, 130, 140, 160s, 2.0, eager beaver, reconditioned 2.0 are all the same. The only difference is the sticker on the outside.

This is odd, I got one on my bench right now! I had to get a new fly wheel because I couldn’t figure out how to get the starter paws off!

Now I have to look at my flywheel. But how about a coil for a HomeLite 300? I can’t find a coil anywhere. I know it’s a plastic saw but dang I would like to get it going!
