I went in store to try on different sizes because it was too big of a risk for me to just guess my size! I initially thought I was a 4 and it was really fitted. I would’ve had a really hard time fitting a sweater or even a thin long sleeve so I sized up to a 6 and I LOVE it! Hope this helps! :)
I have a lot of experience with this jacket; yes it looks more flattering in a smaller size but I was always unhappy about not being able to zip it up without some discomfort (sucking in). I sized up from a 0 US to a 2 and even though it looked boxier, being able to do it up was a relief. Interestingly, I bought a 4 US and it was smaller than the 2. The sizing of the Balfern is all over the place so my advice to people wanting this jacket is to try on a bunch in different sizes and find one that fits to your preference.
@@kitty0530 You even have to try on multiple jackets of the same size because they all fit way different, too! Every time I order a jacket from AllSaints I buy 3 of the same size and keep which one fits the best, and has the least amount of flaws.

Size up for sure. I am a US 2 and bought a US 4 in my all saints leather jacket. If I had bought the 2 it would have been skin tight.
