I have a few All Saints leathers including two Balferns. It’s a worthwhile investment. Greatest leather jacket. Cost per wear makes it worth it.

I have 2 of those All Saints jackets. One in olive green and the other in an eggplant color. Nordstrom anniversary sale has an All Saints in their sale every year. I think I paid $300 for each of mine. The thing I like most about their jackets, that they are petite friendly. The zippers on the sleeves are designed in a way that you can adjust the sleeve length.

GORGEOUS jacket! I have a hot pink moto jacket that I paid less for than the Quince, but it was a big sale! Ha! Think I got it about 10 years ago for $50 in a final sale - it had still been about $200 and still looks great. But if I were you and the All Saints were the I’ve I wanted, I would go for it! You’ll have it for years! And they will never go out of style! ☺️

I have the All Saints jacket. It did basically disintegrate after about five years and started showing wear within about a year. It is VERY delicate. I think I’m going to buy the Quince as my new “dressy jacket” as the All Saints is way too beat up now. I’ll wear the All Saints more casually.

Just out of curiosity, were you oiling it and doing leather conditioner and all the maintenance stuff that they recommend you do? Because I've had faux leather jackets from Jou Jou and I expected that out of those, which they disintegrate after YEARS, and of course I didn't treat them or do anything because they WERE faux. That said, for a $500 All Saints, it better NOT disintegrate in my closet!!!

Lol, it's hard once you feel the best! I'm glad I didn't do a comparison. I finally bought my first leather jacket, it is a Barney's jacket and I'm happy with it, seemed like the price was slashed to UNDER 100, it was about $89 and I'm thrilled with it. I won't run it with a comparison haha 😊

I got the all saints balfern jacket during all saints black Friday sale it was 20% off. Also Nordstrom during their anniversary sale usually they will include an all saints jacket......in years passed both the dalby style as well as the balfern style were included..... discounted as slightly more than the ,20% off during the black Fri sales. But the color ways vary......

I bought the quince jacket and love it! I went to all saints store and the fit of the jackets is too tight for me. I wouldn’t be able to wear a sweater underneath unlike the quince jacket. I like the comfortable fit. The leather is different. But I also have a $1200 Vince leather jacket and that one is a great fit and I can comfortably wear sweaters underneath it.
An update - I bought diff styles during Black Friday sales and got the Dalby vs the balfern which fit differently. I totally know what you’re saying with the heaviness of the leather. Glad I purchased!
Yeah, I’m finding it very interesting, how different leather jackets fit. I recently purchased one from Sandro and it fits like a glove, including when it’s layered over sweaters. But I don’t always have the same experience with other leather jackets xo

How the jacket should fit? On the video it looks like you can’t zip it, it is too tight. When I tried jackets, the smaller sizes fit better on shoulders and arms, but almost impossible to zip them up. The bigger sizes look to bulky. So how it supposed to fit? I am talking about moto jacket style only.
Hi friend! I tend to wear leather jackets open, not zipped. So for me, I typically go with my normal size small and I’m OK with that. What tends to be tricky for me, and others from what I hear, is often times leather jackets can fit beautifully in the body but fit very tight in the arms when you try to layer them over a sweater. I would just read all of the reviews of the jacket you’re interested in, and as a general rule of thumb figure that if you are going to layer it over heavier clothing like sweaters and sweatshirts you may want to consider sizing up one size. Nice video!! I actually have a NYC Blanc a vegan option… much cheaper and what they do with vegan leather is truly awesome. I also purchased a Walmart Scoop blue vegan leather jacket for 40 dollars. Lots of leather/ vegan options to enjoy for way less. ❤️

Kate you seem to be conscientious about sustainability in clothing. Why would you buy sheep skin? I only buy leather that comes from animals we eat! Just wondering. Trying to not be confrontational.
Hi Karla! It’s a great point and I don’t mind you asking at all. I should have mentioned this, but All Saints is committed to responsible sourcing of their leather, including sheepskin. It certainly would be worth reaching out to their CS for clarification, but I took it in good faith xo
@karla Mullen, you know fake leather is wayyyy worse than real one... If you really care for the environment buying fake leather is the worse thing you can do
Lamb may not be eaten frequently in the States, but as someone that comes from New Zealand, there is a huge industry surrounding sheep. The meat is eaten, the skin is sold for sheepskin (fleece lined items), as well as leather. Nothing goes to waste. There is no difference in buying cow leather vs. sheep leather in terms of sustainability.
