Good video❤️👍 I always find that the needle bearing get stuck when installing them, I believe oiling the outside helps?

Hi Matt. Love the vid's. I'm in process of restoring a '76 Elsinore 125 and am having big difficulty getting the one and only blind trans shaft bearing out. I tried this grill method and the two large one's fell right out just like you said. The blind bearing however had the cage and needles fall apart and the outer shell won't budge. Short of buying the entire Tusk kit, do you have any tips? I tried a seal puller on the outer lip and a piece actually broke off so that is a no go. Thanks

Good idea, I saw this after I used a torch heated mildly and tapped them out.

If I need to bake the cases to get shift drum needle bearing out, will the rest of the bearings hold up to the heat? Or will I have to replace every bearing.

do you have to remove the cylinder studs before heating the cases?

Hey again Matthew. Im in the process of taking my bearings out of my wr450f. Can i put the cases in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes? I have a slide hammer but like the idea of heating it all up better than smashing them out. Thanks

Would this heating method work with connecting links that have blind bearings? I recently broke my blind bearing collet (Motion Pro) and damaged my connecting link trying to get the blind bearing out. It was extremely difficult.

Hey when using the bearing race driver to finish putting in (let say) the main bearing, should I have to worry about the tool’s face hitting the inner race too ? What you think 🤔

I tried this but it doesn't work for me, I even put the bearing in the freezer for about 20 minutes. I don't know what else do!
