$20 hot plate from Walmart. Heated case halves to around 280°. I had to cover the entire unit with a cardboard box (essentially making an oven) though to get the aluminum that hot. The heavier bearings fell out of the case, and the smaller bearings were easy to tap out. With the case halves that hot, the room temperature bearings fell into the bore, no tapping required. No freezing of the bearings, either. I don’t like doing that, because as they warm, they draw condensation and you risk the balls starting to rust.

I liked the use of a socket in the center of the old and new bearing to keep the outer races lined up. Good trick

KTM tells you in the factory service manual to put the case halves in the oven at a certain temp and amount of time then bang them on a piece of wood and the bearings should all fall out.

High quality HEAT gun will work great on heating the Cases (use a electronic temp reader to watch the temp).

Rather than peening the case over the spun bearing and causing maybe aluminium to break off during engine operation you could of just used your center punch an 1/8 inch from the bearing into the case in maybe 3 locations and that would have displaced enough material to hold that bearing.

When I put the race on the crank I had kept the crank wrapped in plastic in the freezer over night, then heated the race, pulled the crank out of the freezer, mounted the crank in the vice sideways so I could drop the race in place, and the race literally dropped right on

Remove bearings without heating is not good for case. Heat case to 200-250 celsius and bearing remove at 10 seconds with resin hummer

The 45mm puller is sold seperatly www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-bearing-remover-collet-p
or depending on your bike you could use one of these www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-crank-bearing-puller-tool-p -Charles
