- Reviving My Dream Tiny House in the Philippines! 🇵🇭 - In this video, we will be diving into some of the exciting finishing touches of our new home. I finally have my aircon finally! I also bought more things for the our Tiny House. The bedroom is slowing getting better. We'll be exploring some of the latest developments in our outdoor living space, as well as discussing some of the challenges we've encountered along the way and how we've overcome them. There are still a lot of work to do but I am really hoping that my Tiny House will be ready soon!

I am excited to see your house completion soon. It's looking good so far. I just have a suggestion - I noticed you used coco lumber for the framing of the second floor - make sure the frames are treated against termite infestation. Termites are everywhere and I have seen entire houses crumble because of them. If the frame hasn't been treated then treat the soil surrounding your house just to be sure.

I grew up in a nipa hut in one of the provinces in the Philippines and we and almost all the people there looked down on than kind of house because poor people live in a nipa hut, but you have upgraded it into something awesome and beautiful. Tal... Can you transport a window air conditioner on its side?
Do not place the unit on its side or upside down. This placement could cause damage to the mounting of the compressor. If on its side or back for more than a day, leave it in an upright position and unplugged for 24 hours.
Yes that's right, the compressor should be the right side up. Otherwise it might get damaged and spill the freon inside. Same goes with any other appliances with a compressor like a refrigerator for instance.

Nice house. The nipa roof will cool the house.
Yes, nipa roofing is perfect for summer time, cool in the inside. It's a light roofing material good for more or less 3 years.

I think the old AC wont be energy efficient and you will be paying more on your electric bill. You will break even if you just invested on an inverter type unit which consumes less energy and lower electric bill. Solar if you can afford it will be the best in Siargao island with a battery backup. They sell it online or you can pickup one in Surigao or CDO.

I enjoy watching your house rebuilding. I prefer cement or any other material not the galvanized steel. Have it painted white will look classy!!!! You could also add an outdoor gazebo too so you can enjoy having your meals there with friends

Hi Tal. I am glad u are preparating for the hot season. Tho i am not sure if you did the correct way on the AC. I tought u are yo keep the right side of the unit in the correct position so the liquid that keeps it cool won't be dislodged inside. Maybe u should ask an AC tech if it will affect that it should cool. Keep cool specially this hot summer season.😁

Could you explain in next vlog why the windows are small and so few? Did you really intend it to have less natural light coming from windows so you would need to use electricity even during day time or is it because you want it be AC powered all day and so its better to have few windows to keep the cooling locked in? Feels like it would be too hot there when there is power outage since theres not much outdoor air and wind that can get in. Just curious and concerned, no offense meant.
No offence taken. I designed it in a way where it would be really easy to black out the entire house.
Especially when sleeping or waking up late, and retaining the cool air from the Aircon. Having the house easily blacked out with black out curtains was important to me. Hence the easily accessible location of the few windows, and they will all have fitted black out curtains.

Long term lease contract is the best option for him I suppose. If one is considering Owning a land , it's best to consult a lawyer first to check the possible loopholes they can think of, to make sure you can have a title.
