- This is one BEAUTIFUL firearm! It's a well built, solid feeling, and gorgeous 17 round, 9mm semi auto handgun from the Czech Republic. From the buttery smooth slide to the buttery smooth trigger, this steel frame pistol is accurate and seemingly reliable, even though I only got to shoot about 50 rounds through it.

I got one a few weeks ago. My buddy and I shot it. For the first time a week ago. We couldn't quit smiling!! This gun will shoot way better than I shot it. Worth every penny I spent for it!

I just orderd mine, in Urban Grey color. Immediately I orderd few upgrades for it, RC Tech 9pcs spring set, RRK kit or reach reduction kit, extended firing pin and spring, CZ SA/DA hammer and Armanov Spidergo gen2 grips. Can’t wait to fit all this pieces to it and then try it at the range. The Shadow2 with these upgrades is way better then Shadow2 Orange model which is way more expensive.

@@SmallCaliberArmsReview They do exist and in my IPSC club, 99% of the guys have same setup. I tried several guns with that setup and it’s huge difference between them and the original setup from the box. Without any doubt it’s even better than Shadow2 Orange which is like top range gun from CZ.
100% reliable. Best value competition ready out of the box pistol. Melts into your hand, low recoil and a trigger thats hard to beat in a production pistol.

buddy just bought one and it needs to be sent back to the manufacture because it misfires alot. Glad i got a Legion SAO, 1k rounds no misfires.

For the price of the CZ Shadow you could buy 6.7 Taurus spectrum's and if you could fit them all in your pockets and belt holsters you would have over 36 rounds of ammo, If one spectrum jam's, just throw the spectrum at the assailant and pull out another, At $179.00 each it wont keep u up at night.
I got my Spectrum on sale, so I could have 8.4 of them! But the CZ is more of a competition gun than a CCW. I'm not sure what the RO would say if you fired 7 rounds at a target, threw you pistol at the target and pulled another one.

Richard, two questions. What did you mean by having it ported, and what is a race gun?
Porting is when they machine holes at or near the top of the muzzle end of the barrel. Just before the bullet leaves the barrel, a puff of gasses escape from the ports and help keep the end of the barrel down.
A "Race Gun" is a term for a gun used in competitions where you need to shoot fast and be accurate, usually racing a clock.

Should have came with 3 magazines, if you bought it new, you were hosed.
Not legal for IDPA
If you are getting muzzle flip, learn how to grip it, the S2 is a very flat shooting gun.
Porting the barrel would not do anything for it, and it would knock it out of it's intended market.
It was a loaner gun. The way most handguns are made, with the exception of maybe the Chiappa Rhino, they are going to have some degree of muzzle flip. Thanks for watching!
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview work on your frip, it is a heavy gun, shooting minor power factor ammo, the muzzle flip will pretty much go away.

@@SmallCaliberArmsReview We can't have semi auto's , pumps & handguns and there's even a magazine compacity limit on rimfire's . They were trying to ban the Adler lever action shotgun too ! Tried to get silencers but that got knocked on the head straight away . So you's blokes are pretty lucky you over there .
We've had to fight for it, every day it seems. I wish Silencers were easier and cheaper here, it can take nearly a year sometimes and an additional $200 for the tax stamp.
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview you have to fight for everything these days , we have been fighting for years but the Government only wants to take take take , they won't even let us hunt at the moment and banned us from buying ammo /firearms till restrictions are lifted ,"so they say "!
@@shanegibb997 Our "Big Fight" was a couple hundred years ago! We constantly have to fight smaller battles in different states and in the whole country as well. There have been some issues here during the current "Pandemic" but for the most part, gun sales have been skyrocketing and ammo is becoming fairly scarce.
Use a special rig due to its weight :-).
The weight is pretty close to a 1911. I'd think a shoulder holster would be good for this one.
@@SmallCaliberArmsReview 43 1/2 oz unloaded :-). Use in Production Class for competition it is marvelous right out of the box. It is the new "gold standard" for Production.
