    Thanks for posting Sir! Both guns are MUCH better than I expected them to be. I run a Vortex Venom in Production Optics Division.

      They did an awesome job kitting them out, the OR version especially is great for PDO

    Would love to own one, either the original or the 2. Sadly, because California's laws are apparently even more restrictive than Australia's, it's not legal for sale here.
    EDIT: Excellent overview!

      The approved list for Cali is one of the more arbitrary and frankly pointless laws out there, it’s a shame because these are great pistols

    Great video. I also like the wide safeties but am just waiting for my CZ shadow 2 orange to come to get the same as what it has, if it ever comes!!

    I learned almost nothing from examination , but camera work was above average.

    are the grips the exact same color with these 2 models? looks a little different from the video.

    I also prefer my Shadow over my S2 in fact I turned it into an Open Gun

      I know people who’ve done that, also those who have made their Shadow1’s into standard div guns too. Standard minor was much more common place back then though. Obviously there’s a demand for it though, CZ has released a single action only Shadow2 just recently

    CA still had the good old CZ75 on the list. No bells & whistles but the same platform.

    I have the CZ Shadow 2 original (not optics ready). Can I still put an optic on my gun?

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  Před 3 lety +1

      You have three options.
      You can find a frame mount, either attached to the picatinny rail or drilled and tapped into the frame.
      Or you can use a rear sight dovetail mount suitable for your chosen optic.
      Lastly you can send it away to a gunsmith or custom shop to have the slide machines to accomodate your chosen optic or to take optic ready plates.
      I would recommend the last option as dovetail mounts are suboptimal and frame mounted optics require special holsters to be able to run properly. Also it’s no longer the 90’s

    Does cz shadow 2 Optics-Ready have firing pin block? Is it drop safe?

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  Před 3 lety +3

      The Shadow models, both the SP-01 and Shadow 2 linage, do not possess the firing pin block. As they are primarily competition pistols they are not intended for duty or carry use and are not considered drop safe.

    no slide checkering on the back for the optic ready CZ 75, how is that not mentioned? :)

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  Před 4 lety +1

      Quite possibly because there were multiple close ups of that area of the slide.

    What are your thoughts about SigSauer P226 in comparison to CZ Shadow 2?

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  Před 3 lety +1

      Do you enjoy making things harder for yourself while being laughed at by D grade shooters and above? Then using the 226 will accomplish this for you in style. There is no fair comparison between them in my opinion

    • @morriszachrisson8359
      @morriszachrisson8359 Před 3 lety

      @@dsar9489 I just thought... Sig is used by practical shooters, so what makes Shadow better than Sig in detail please.

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  Před 3 lety +1

      @@morriszachrisson8359 The Sig 320 X-five Legion is popular with practical shooters in the US, the 226 has never to our knowledge had much of a following outside of those who have a brand attachment or who use them in comps because they carry them in a official capacity.
      As for why the S2 is superior specifically, consider the following things in favour of the S2
      Trigger is better both in DA and SA
      Sights are better
      Recoil impulse is better
      Balance is better
      Mags have higher standard capacity
      Aftermarket support
      Custom shop support
      Fit and finish are better (although the German made 226's are quite well made)
      The TLDR is one is a duty gun and the other is a dedicated competition gun.
      If you want to shoot a 226 then go for it, but you are putting yourself at a disadvantage in almost every meaningful way. If you want to shoot something made by Sig then go with the P320.

      Same place as you get any parts. Look it up online or ask your local gun store to order some in. It’s really that simple.

      We appreciate the feedback. I, for one, look forward to your extensive review on the Shadow 2. Along with diagrams, shooting video, 9 shot groups, match video, mud testing, NDI evaluation, drop tests, comparative analysis with equivalent pistols of the class, ammunition testing and so on. Feel free to link it here, our viewers would love to see such a video. Thanks for the comment!
