  • Bertie Gregory is back, and this time, the adventures are even more epic! Bertie takes us to the most spectacular corners of our planet - from Antarctica to Africa and South America to Asia - tracking down extraordinary animals to capture their daily lives like never before. Armed with drones, state-of-the-art cameras, and underwater tech, he and his team brave subzero seas, climb snow-capped mountains, and sleep suspended 120 feet in the air to reveal the challenges these animals endure, their fierce rivalries, and the threats they face on our changing planet. ANIMALS UP CLOSE WITH BERTIE GREGORY shows all the behind-the-scenes moments he and his team face while adapting to unpredictable wildlife in remote environments where filming rarely goes as planned. There is no script for this unique series, but through it all, Bertie brings the audience with him every step of the way.

    Thank you so much for sharing...What an amazing story ...The Killer whales, Orcas, have really been behaving quite odd lately...tearing the rudders off of boats and proudly breaching, with them in tow, to show, " Everyone, " what they had done! Lol!
    But this is just BAD manners! The Humpbacks tried to save the seal...😢
    I have been so fascinated, all my life, with the creatures of the sea...but terribly afraid of them and the water they live in, also...Still loving them from this side of your cameras!
    Thank you...

      So what you are saying is the orcas showed as much concern for the matriarch of their pod for being injured by a boat as the humpback did for the seal? Or the humpback lost a calf and decided to foil a later hunt either way both species are sentient beings more so than humans and for the record orcas wolves of the sea have never hurt humans only positive interactions between us and them in the wild amazingly intelligent creatures

    Absolutely jawdropping! Of course the orca are doing what they must to survive, and yet you can't help but feel empathy both for the humpbacks (and for the seal, of course). I've seen the videos of orca killing humpback calfs and fully-grown whales. And also basically tormenting and playing with prey only to leave it fatally wounded to drift to the bottom. They are much more like human in their seeming capacity for both playfulness and cruelty. Which probably also explains why they just swam straight towards to humpbacks to show off their catch. Is that anything other than taunting?

    • @mehere8038
      @mehere8038 Před 8 měsíci

      yes it could easily be something other than taunting. I do this with my rescue birds all the time, they freak out over towels, so I will use it on myself & show them it's for ME, I'm not using it to catch them, so as to calm them. Orcas could easily be doing it specifically to communicate to them that the hunt is not for their babies & so they can relax & back off on this day at least
