Entry Door Catch Repair on Newmar Dutch Star

Rick and Phil stop by to help Dan repair a broken entry door catch on his Newmar Dutch Star motorhome. This uncommon catch holds the door open until the door latch handle releases it. It's great when you want to use your RV screen door. However, in extreme winds, it requires precaution when opening, something that someone forgot when exiting the RV while in Cabazon, California. You've got to love the RV Travel life!

Hi Charles, the most difficult part will be determining which latch you need to buy. Maybe contact REV Group, who now own Monaco. Once you have the new latch, the process will be similar. Take your time, take photos and try to understand how it works before removing the old lock. Good luck!
