- I have hours of run time on the truck now and have already started to modify the truck to perform it's best in the situations I am going to throw it in. The truck is doing great, and I am excited to pass on the bits of knowledge I've picked up from running this rig.

Of course, starting stock is always the best starting point for a new person. This car is a lot of fun out of the box, however in hardcore rock situations it isn't going to do very well but thats not where it's meant to be ran out of the box. That is why I am doing modifications.
I so wish I was ready to buy this thing. Since the scx this is the first Rc put out that intrest me. Well I love the tf2 also. Great first run review.
You can lock the front diff another way by buying an additional set of spider gears and installing them inside the diff. I was looking for a spool to lock my exo center/rear diffs and could not find one, so I tried the spider mod and it works great. And there is no need to run gear lube as none of the gears move.
Gold mine of info
My yeti is here!
Wow to get those mip axles would cast a fortune
sounds like its a pretty nice rig.
Would you recommend it as a RTR without modifications for someone new ? I only have 1 buggy so far (redcat calreda sc 10e). I plan on running it on 2S 5Ah
I ordered the Pro 4 hd in the 3000kv and am pairing it with the Castle MMP to replace the stock system last week. What would be a good servo were I wouldn't have to install a bec? Or should I install one with the MMP?
Do you think short course or prolines other 10th scale bodies well fit on the yeti with or without the cage
From what I hear, MIP already has a Yeti in their shop.....
My guess is that they are going to make something that uses a dog bone style at one end, much like the stock setup. The issue with that for someone like me, is that if you want to lock the diff, you'll have to find a way to maintain those cups. If that means, using JB weld in the diff, then those stock gears are going to be the failure point as the metal is not super hard. I am sure a good solution will come to light soon, but I just hope that it is one that takes a minimal amount of work for the end user that isn't overly experienced with part modification.
hey bud which compound did you go with blue, silver or gold ?
Hey Josh, I just received my Yeti and ordered some Vanquish Method 101 wheels. What size SLW's would you recommend? I plan to do some G6 type driving
I'd suggest 225 front and 475 rear. Will keep you narrower to fit through the G6 gates a little easier. Still. Plenty stable though.
Thanks, Josh!
how did you lock the front diff ?
ahh asked too soon you explained it in the video :P

Can you give so more info on the tires? I've never heard of them. Are they available to the public or they custom made for you?
They are the new Ottsix VooDoo U4 tires. They went on Pre-Sale this week and will be in stock soon. Once they are available you'll be able to find them at ottsix.com
Cool thanks man!
what battery you run in this car?
I've been running 2200 3s packs. Pretty much my typical setup. However if I'm bashing it around, a 5000 3s slides right in.
Great. How long does it last?
Greg Moreno depends how much you hammer on it..
