- Finally got the MT flashed. All restrictions are gone, bike accelerates much quicker throughout the rev range and shift are smoother now. Happy with the results!

Thanks bro! Yes I like how it feels down low and up top now with the extra RPM’s. Make a nice difference. Fastest I’ve hit is 152. Haven’t actually tried to hit top speed, but Im close to it. We’ll ride sometime whenever I head up north with the bike!

I have a 2019 MT 09 with SC Project Full System Exhaust, Quick Shifter (Doesn’t come factory), Sprint Filter, Airbox Mod, Performance SparkPlugs, Rekluse Clutch Plates, Vcycle Nut tune my bike topped out at 156mph and it was such a difference with the low end torque being to snatchy before the tune now my bike runs smooth and of course the best part is it removes the 132mph speed limiter
This bikes low end stock was numbed down a lot, now its smoother and more to torque low end. I managed to reach 157. Think I was weighing 175 pounds at the time. Always wanted a second gen until I saw this one.

Deffinite does. Fill nice down low now and mid range too, the extra 250 red line makes a huge difference
I have the same tune on my 2016 fz09 Vcyclenuts flash is amazing. I still have the bike till this day.

You the Man, Dude! 2023 XSR, going Dominator and VCyclenut! No Balls here for 145, but getting to 115/120 does it for me. I got a 15-47 sprocket set (doesn't affect the Flash) I can test +1, +2, or +3. Never had a problem with the lift control, but always careful! When does a Ford Mustang get a quick Shifter? Better than DCT, gears are Incremental anyway. I think you said 10,800 redline? What every you got is what I want, but not sure about the Air Box Mods and the DNA or Sprint Filter doesn't affect the Flash. Once I get the air Box out.. I'll see what the deal is.. Obvious restrictions of course, the tube lengths probably won't do. Thanks again!! Ride Hard, Live to tell about it!!
Yea I did the mods and filter just to have it how Vcycle nut did on his dyno video. I’d say just go with the aftermarket filter and do the mod. And if u ever wanted to go back to stock, a new airbox is super cheap from Yamaha , And actually I meant 10850 rpm**.

@@jairoglyphx4003 good point about the ABox. It was plus a smidge at the top.. and a big fan of intake feedback noise. Is the need for the steering dampner because of landing wheelies or specific to the MT09? Never noticed.. I'll keep an eye out.
@@markhall3434 you’lll hear much more intake noise after doing the mod. Sounds great.
And a damper would be nice, only seen one brand so far. There’s always some slight wobble above 115, but Ive taken it high speeds many times and as long as your knees are gripped well, and you trust ur bike and skills, u should be fine. The bike manages pretty well surprisingly 😅. Your XSR might be a bit more stable dude tot he longer wheel. But Id say the damper would be a plus I guess.

@@thizzfox yup, loose on the hand and tight on the knees is the best way to mitigate wobble, the bike will handle just fine.

And fitting the Puig touring windscreen, wearing tight pro racing leathers (mine are custom-made Dainese) and an aerodynamic helmet such as the AGV Pista RR make for an absolutely stable ride - my (optimized) 2020 SP tops out at 152 mph (this way).

Yea it feels nice down low ,midrange and top end with the extra 250rpm’s. Not long, you’ll get it back in less than a week.
Would love to see a top speed run with the flash, R9 logo was just trademarked and I’m more excited than ever, my R7 is great for low down street riding but highway 4th and above is just completely dead.

I’ve done a full dyno ECU flash and running full Akrapovic system and KNN filter but my exhaust doesn’t pop for some reason . 😢
Just gotta rev it out and she’ll pop. I know the bike runs more efficient than previous gens since the relocation of the injectors and no AIS system so I’m sure that has something to do with it. But she should be making noises 😅
hi did you feel a difference between stock and flash , also after the flash the engine light really gone ?
Yes ofcourse. You will alwyas feel a difference, the bike just always pulls harder in every gear, and pulls much better down low in the rev range. Engine light does go away after a few minutes.

Do you need to keep your 02 plugged in after flash?
No. It gets disabled with this specific flash. So whether you have it connected or not won’t make any difference.

I had a 2017 r6 that got stolen. I loved that back. Dailyed it for 1 year and 7 months, indeed it sucks ass in traffic 😅. Mainly fun in the highway…the torque on the MT is just always there and a lot of fun, always exciting. If you can try and keep both 😅. All depends on the type of riding you like to do.

Only reason i haven't gotten an exhaust is because it I'll end up driving like a total hooligan(like yourself). These bikes sounds so good. That's the reason i bought another one. 😂
Does it come with steering damper?
No, aftermarket only.. but the gen3 needs one less than the prev gen2.

Does the flash get rid of the low down throttle snatchy feel
Not sure I ever felt the throttle too snatchy down low, but it does make it ride smooth and more power down low.
That's only on 1st and 2nd gens. 3rd gen throttle is actually pretty smooth.
If you think it rips now put a 15t front sprocket on it
Ohh yea I could imagine… and with a 520 chain kit conversion for some extra weight savings, But honestly might just keep it stock gearing for now..unless i turn it into a dedicated track bike im

@@jairoglyphx4003 I have a fz09 no abs no tcs no quick shifter bare bones it’s like starting all over everytime I get off my mt10 that has all those things. The longer gear is nice In stock form but the bike pulls all the way through the gears it doesn’t start falling off up top in 5/6. And I’m able to hit 147 still but the fz’s rev out to 11250

Based on the surroundings, I'd say you're either in SoCal or Florida. How many speeding tickets do you have? Doing 30 to 40 over the limit in boulevards, 50-60 over the limit on highways, weaving cars, crossing solid white lines, blowing intersections on yellow light....
If you were cited for your violations, you'd go broke in less than a week.

I opted for the dna stage 2 instead of the airbox mod.
Same here with Vcyclenut flash & Black Widow low mount full exhaust. Thing is an absolute screamer now and the induction noise is mind numbing!
