I think she's legitimately just very ignorant. She doesn't understand the difference between arraignment and trial. She also had another officer give her a break in another county and didn't realize that other officers weren't going to give her the same courtesy. Her face says it all; she's struggling big time to understand what's going on. She's no sovereign citizen; I highly doubt she'd refuse a lawyer if she knew what was going on. When the judge tells her the attorney would help her attain her blood results, you can see a look of understanding in her face. "Ohhhh..."

She acts like she can go out, make money, buy some insurance, and then all will be forgiven. Sorry, that's not how any of this works. There’s no language issue, and I don’t think she’s being conscientiously manipulative-she doesn’t seem capable of that. Her thinking is extremely concrete, and she has difficulty answering questions if they aren’t painstakingly explained to her.
Generally, if someone is being manipulative, they must first understand the context and reality well enough to use deception in a way that benefits her. None of her behavior was beneficial to her in any way, so I just cannot believe she thinks she’s getting one over on Judge Webster.
On the other hand, if she does understand everything and is attempting to be deceptive in a way that benefits her, that’s even worse in my book because it would mean that she is even more mentally impaired than she would be if she simply didn’t understand the circumstances (delusional, too).
Either way, she’s barely competent enough to tie her own shoes without royally fucking it up. I’m shocked she was even able to operate her car well enough to get pulled over.

So disgusting we need a translator for someone who actually lives in the US. If you haven't been here long enough to know enough English, then you should be automatically deported. A warning doesn't give you a 30 day grace period. It means you better get insurance but you have 30 days to show it! There is something she doesn't want to come out and that's why she doesn't want to go to trial. Is she playing stupid on purpose?
