Whenever I see Oscar Tavares's homerun, I immediately get chills still. Was such a great homerun, right when the rain started. Was such a promising player. RIP Oscar.
for all you guys who say that "oh, my favorite player wasn't here" who cares? these debuts were very impressive and good quality footage is hard to come by. hey, my favorite player wasn't on here and I'm not complaining. this is a good vid.
Yasiel Puig. He threw out a runner at first to end the game, and I think he hit a home run. Or maybe that was the next day. I know he got a hit that day though.
+Ari Ferrari Puig is garbage. He was good at his debut but after that he's gone down hill. Plus he has a horrible attitude. People who say attitude isn't part of someone's career is full of BS. Being able to work with others, work with your teammates and couches and have respect for the game or other players and teams is part of it. Look at someone like Derek Jeter. He's not one of the best players ever solely on his stats, he's also an all around amazing person on and off the field. Puig lacks this gene. He is mean, he is egotistical and he is a hot head. Plus he isn't even that good of a player so this just make him look worse over all. He fits with the Dodgers perfectly. They are all the same. Glad he's with the Dodgers.
What a great young player Oscar Taveras was for the St. Louis Cardinals. It was a very sad outcome that he got killed in a car accident. He had so much talent and pride to play the game of baseball.
Kevin Kouzmanoff's first-pitch grand slam in 2006 was awesome to watch live. First player ever to do it. Too bad the footage is near impossible to find.
Even though he is injured, and doesn't play much, Jurickson Profar deserves to be in there. On his first pitch he fouled off a pitch that was just a few feet foul and was nearly a home run. Next pitch he did hit a home run, and then had a clutch double later that game.
I will never forget what Taveras did in his debut! Watched it live and told myself he was going to do it. What a shame he didnt get to make a bigger impact
I was at OT debut. I've been to many games in my lifetime, and I've never heard the place more electric than after that swing. That was a mammoth shot from a mountain of a man. You are missed dearly OT
RIP Oscar Tavares. It's such a shame to see such a promising young player lose his life so early. Something that hasn't left my mind since learning of his passing is "what if?" What kind of impact would he have had?
It´s missing the debut of Ramon Cabrera with Cincinatti Reds, who emulated his father, Alex( Diamond Backs, 2000) batting both Hrs in their first game..I guees is the first and unique time in Mlb History.
There are just too many impressive debuts to put into a video in this format. You should have done just the highlights and a recap of each player's debut (i.e., 3 for 4, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 7 TB) at the bottom of the screen for their segment. That way you could have fit in players like Stephen Strasburg (7 IP, 14 K, 0 BB), Starlin Castro (2 for 5, HR, 3B, 6 RBI), and even Juan Marichal (CG, 0 ER, 1 H, 12 K).
RIP Oscar Taveras #18
Oscar Taveras first and last hits were solo home runs against the Giants in the rain.
And at Busch Stadium
Yea
Was at both games

He had 2 Homeruns in his debut
and nomar mazara
diaz would be on here too.
I just made a new updated video if you want to check it out. :D czcams.com/video/-7xjzpT97CE/video.html
for all you guys who say that "oh, my favorite player wasn't here" who cares? these debuts were very impressive and good quality footage is hard to come by. hey, my favorite player wasn't on here and I'm not complaining. this is a good vid.
Thanks, and yeah that gets annoying and who was your favorite player that wasn't on here
Yasiel Puig. He threw out a runner at first to end the game, and I think he hit a home run. Or maybe that was the next day. I know he got a hit that day though.
+Ari Ferrari he only got a hit or two and threw out a runner. the whole week was what really shined, not the debut.
+Edward Herrera what do you mean he fits the dodgers perfectly?
You forgot one of the best ones, Brandon Crawford's grand slam.
When chappman came out and they showed that thing on the screen I wonder how much people thought the Cubans were gonna luanch a missle.
+Bloby Proby until they said he was cuban i was like.. "WHY DOES IT SAY THE CUBANS ARE ARMING THEIR MISSILES"
+Alex Gordon That's funny and is your name really Alex Gordon?
Alex Gordon are you a royals fan?
Loved Nava such a nice swing
+michael tremblay Go Red Sox!!!

Kevin Kouzmanoff's first-pitch grand slam in 2006 was awesome to watch live. First player ever to do it. Too bad the footage is near impossible to find.

Some great material here
Very cool post - welcome to the Show
To make a debut like that will really set the bar high, for the player, team and fans.
Aun en el 2019, R.I.P Taveras 💪⚾
That Taveras at bat was really a thing of beauty. Tragic. I think he may have been one of the greats.
Starlin Castro's six RBIs and 3 run HR in first AB definitely should be on here.
I will never forget what Taveras did in his debut! Watched it live and told myself he was going to do it. What a shame he didnt get to make a bigger impact
Oscar Taveras would have been a great ball player. May he Rest in Paradise.
harry kalas with that chase utley call gives me chills
I was at OT debut. I've been to many games in my lifetime, and I've never heard the place more electric than after that swing. That was a mammoth shot from a mountain of a man. You are missed dearly OT
I remember watching Daniel Navas debut it was amazing
You forgot Starling Marte. In his debut he led the game off with a home run on the first pitch of the game.
AWESOME CHANNEL!
Thanks!

+Cody King Well first of all, his MLB Debut was in 2007, and he threw a no hitter in his second start
Yeah it hit after i posted it
Starlin Castro 3 run HR and 3 run triple his first two AB, setting a major league record for RBIs in debut.
These are simply amazing. welcome to the big leagues guys
brandon crawford says hi
I was at Jason heywards first game. It was insane.
Was this video put together before Matz's debut? 3 hits, 4RBI along with 7.2 innings of 2 run ball.
I remember watching J.P Arencibia's Debut. I was absolutely stunned by his performance!
Where is Steven matz
Probably at home and getting ready for Spring Training
+Team Rvhx LOL

I still remember O.Ts debut thank God I was there
Typical Andre you do know he drove off a cliff him and his girlfriend
Good Video
Daniel nava's swing is so nice
Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado might be the best young 1-2 punch since Griffey and Arod back in the 90's.
Time to update and add Tyler Austin and Aaron Judge's back-to-back home runs in their major league debuts.
awsome channel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
I love how Prince was like "Joey, get the fuck up there"
Damn, that pitcher jumped up and snagged that ball in the bullpen in the first video.
I remember watching Daniel Nava's at bat on TV and being like "Are you kiding me..." right when the ball came off the bat
gtfo patrick kane
Conor Horn
no thanks
rip O.T
The bit at the end with Taveras is so damn sad. Such potential, and then he was gone just a few months later.
lol at the Rangers' music player who starts playing The Natural theme at 10:32 thinking it was another home run but nope
4:50 Who put it on beginner?
I knew Daniel Nava would be on this. Grand Slam on the first pitch of his Major League Career
Where's Eddie Rosario first pitch homer
That's what I was thinking :)
Hamza Comedy I was thinking the same thing...
Naval had one of the best debuts ever
RIP Oscar Tavares. It's such a shame to see such a promising young player lose his life so early. Something that hasn't left my mind since learning of his passing is "what if?" What kind of impact would he have had?
Yes, so, too sad.
Its sad to see OT pass he had a great career ahead of him, coming from a Red Sox fan! RIP
chase utley's grand slam with the harry kalas commentary is the best thing in the world
I know right!!!! Love it so much
He was hustling around the bases
+JRB_03 #HomeRunTrot

2:17 sounds like a good announcer
RIP OSCAR TAVERAS ALWAYS IN OUR DOMINICAN HEARTS

If it was now, Trevor Story!!
nava slugging 4000 in his first big leauge at bat
every time a guy has a debut like this, there's someone else who's worried about his job.
Even though I'm a big Cubs fan, I have huge respect for Oscar Tavares.RIP
Why? He was drunk and crashed his car, killing himself and his girlfriend.
RIP Oscar Tavares such a good young prospect, with such promise. #cardinalsnation
I believe Matt wisler ..a rookie who plays for the braves is the future of the Mlb. I believe he could be the next Greg Maddox
Amazing Channel/Videos, But How Could You Not Include Buster Posey and Mike Trout???
Thanks, but Mike Trout didn't really have a good debut and I'll check about Posey
+Team Rvhx Yeah pls do it!
oscar great 5 tools prospect r.i.p.
Say what you want about Starlin Castro, but he did have an impressive debut with a homer a triple and 6 RBI.
Freddy Peralta on the Brewers had 13k's in his MLB debut, and I think he held the opponents scoreless.
Kerry Wood with the Cubs had a 20k debut game in the 1990s.
R.i.p. Oscar treaves great channel
Carlos Peres venezolano y ademas caraquista excelente
Gotta add Kenta Maeda now. Pitched a great game and hit a home run.
RIP Oscar Taveras I remember watching that homerun and the hearing the bad new it was horrible
