Hey everyone, just watched this repair video from South Asia and gotta say, mad respect to these folks. Yeah, some of the repairs look off, but let's get real - they're doing the best with what they've got. It's super easy for people from ex-colonial powers to throw shade, but isn’t it a bit rich coming from countries that had a hand in messing up these places in the first place? We're talking centuries of countries like the Netherlands, France, Germany, and England just taking what they wanted and turning these places into colonies. That history left deep scars and challenges that these guys are still dealing with. So, this video? It's more than just repairs. It's about guts, skill, and dealing with a tough hand. To those from the colonial countries dropping negative comments: how about showing some respect for once? These guys deserve a like and, honestly, a silent donation to their channel would be the least you could do. Greetings from Russia
I’ve learned such a lot here. When I think of all the time I’ve wasted in the past, bothering with things like masking up, checking torque settings etc. and investing in a decent tool set when I only needed a hammer. Got to admit I’d never thought of painting the big end journals and valve springs before. I’m also impressed how the red paint seems to change colour to pink. 🤪
I've never seen a flywheel ring gear repaired that way.☹️😂 I'm also wondering why Mercedes bother to use gaskets. It looks like a bit of grey paint sprayed on the mating surfaces gives a perfect seal. I don't know why they use rings on their pistons either. It's so much easier to fit the pistons without rings, they just slide right in, lol.
I'm gonna use this video to bother my neighbours who play loud music in the middle of the night....just noise, hammering and no interaction with the viewers lol lol

I don't know if I need to cry 😢😢😢 or to laugh... 😂 😂 😂
Painted the car with the windows open , painted the door handles , painted all the black trimmings !! 🤦🏻♂️ he painted outside the lines as a kid in a coloring book and still does today 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Somewhere in Germany. A retired Mercedes worker sees a 650 Maybach with 4 cylinders and collapses😂
I must say, comedy doesn’t get much better than that. All that’s missing is Benny Hill to arrive and the music to start.
Sweet mother of all that is good, what have I just done. I have just wasted one whole hour on what must be meant as a long and elaborate joke. My favourite part was the welding and grinding of the cog. Aaarrrrggghhhh…..
Legend says at the end he dumped it back in the channel for 50 more years
And the paint over paint spray works as a oil pan gasket too.
Ah the limited Maybach S650 Polyfiller edition with...optional extra bright pink crash bar 👌
And ringless pistons. 53:07
Not a torque wrench in sight. Perfect!
I can't believe what I'm seeing, but I've got to, I'm looking right at it.
Tighten until you feel the threads start to stretch, then back off a quarter turn. Perfect every time. 😅
Impact gun all the way🤣
Not 50 years old, Not an S650 and not a Maybach 😂😂😂 It’s a 1989 Mercedes 190e with a 1997cc 4 cylinder (M102) engine, (1990 onwards had a bigger filter over the carb), this was the smallest engine Mercedes put in this car 😂😂😂
Who knew? When you paint a hose/wire/casting/alternator/oil filter...... it makes them brand new!
I get making due with what you got. I wish he wouldve atleast used tubes of gasket seal after he rebuilt that motor and trans that things going to leak oil like crazy...
I see a lot of arrogant comments about Germany and its industry, but what these guys from East Asia did makes the most skilled Mercedes engineers take my hat off to them... How did they breathe life into that car? I am certain that if this car had been found in Germany in the same condition, the workers would have given a thousand excuses for the futility of this project.
God damn lol. My local scrapyard would be ashamed to have this. The literal definition of bondo buggy was demonstrated in this video
I have one word: OIL ⛽
Ohh, I have another one: GASKET 🔗
Ohh no, I have one more: TORQUE ⚙️
I laughed the whole video, but in a strange way 😳
I’ve never seen something like this, really 😂😂
But viwes on that video is the target no matter the content
More than 1 million views already, incredible…
@@razvan_009 definition of click bait
@@navidazarshab Indeed 👌🏻
Painting the greasy gearbox was my favourite part.
