That trumpet in the beginning was on point *-* my ears are pleased
I'm a horn player, but I briefly played trombone as a teenager (went back to horn because while I still love the instrument, it wasn't for me). I always used my finger on the bell for third position. Funny to see an experienced player do that too!

Victoria T. It's a straight mute which is one of the many mutes brass players use to alter the timbre, ska the sound that the instrument produces

Sounds like he's second or third chair. The guy to his left is definitely first trombone (or he's playing the first trombone part).
Well the guy to his left plays tuba ;) But if you look closely you can see parts of the first trombonist's trombone on the left edge. So it would be 1st, 2nd, 3rd & tuba from left to right (our left)
