I got the chance to sit down and play with these guys when I was in High School. Awesome people. What blew me away was the fact that none of them had any music on their stands. They just had ... stuff on there. Like random bits of music they pretended to look at. It was all in their heads. The bass trombone player calmly noticed that I didn't have any idea what the music was, and produced a part for me from his bag. No judgement, subtle hints. Section leader asked for my pencil and marked a few dymanics, and some notes on it. Played the phrases that way ever since. Blew my mind to sit in with them at that age.
And ya. That wasn't a cheap tuba either! Send it! Shot Out!

Trombone is just played like tenor but an octave higher and you might need a little practice with alto trombone, but yea it ain’t that hard. I’m not saying that FOTB isn’t hard because it definitely is, just saying that it’s not hard to do it on the other two if you already have it on one of them.

Used to run with Tubas, even backwards for some formations. It gets easier if you practice/carry a tuba around frequently, you eventually get used to balancing/managing the weight. She's probably marched around with that tuba more than most would ever being in a military band I would think. Never did it in heels though, that's gotta complicate things a bit for sure.

Actually you can practice too much on brass instruments. You'll get an "embouchure breakdown" past, say, 4 hours per day, at least in my case. It happened to Miles Davis too. Symptoms are when it takes you longer and longer to warm up. They also say too many lip slurs can lead to this condition. In my case it was taking me about 1 hour just to warm up and break down my lips to where I could play. My teacher was clueless as to why I was getting worse and worse. My lips had as much buzz as a stiff baseball mitt.
