- A variable speed servo motor delivers power savings, silent operation and precise control for your sewing machine. Often older machines with a clutch motor can receive a new lease of life by installing a servo motor. This video is a step by step guide to removing an existing clutch motor and then installing a new servo motor. The model featured is a HO HSING MJ Series.
WARNING: Clutch motors can way up to 23kg, so please make sure the motor is sufficiently supported.

Both myself and my 226r love the servo.
Thank you so much for this video. Just a warning to women or people who are not super strong, make sure you have another person help you take down the clutch motor! - I nearly severed my finger doing this myself - *VERY* painful! The motor fell prematurely from the bolts and smashed my finger against the metal table beam - those things are HEAVY! Lucky I was wearing thick gloves otherwise it would have been much worse!
thank you ..great..
can you control the speed on foot petal from say 1 to say 400 to 1500 rpm as we have to start off slow some times
Very nice
thank you.
very nice
nice motor
Can you shed any light about the servo motors found on eBay versus the more expensive units such as the ho hsing g40 and the efka variostop. There are so many on eBay from consew, reliable 6000, Goldstar, IFS. The reliable 6000 with synchronizer looks to be a pretty nice unit claiming it has more coils for greater torque do you have any input on these units. I have the H0 HSING G40. It was over 300. Can you recommend a unit for Juki 5550. I am not doing heavy materials on this machine. Nor am I doing commercial volume. I would like a unit with needle position sensor such as the one i have now on my walking foot which is the said ho-hsing. nice motor but do i need to spend another 330 or can i be happy with an eBay purchase?
Thank you!

A question regarding servo motors. Do all sewing machine servo motors suit any type of industrial machine?
Hi Sharon, Can I please ask for your email address so I can have a technician contact you with regards to your question or alternatively you can contact us on info@sewingmachinesaustralia.com.au
I have a problem with the regulation of speed. Machine Durkopp controlled by Ho Hsing G75-2. Maximal speed is 15. It seems that is limited somehow. P0 was put 40 with no result, reset didn’t help neither. I can lower speed, but I need to make it higher. Please help, I really need advice:)))
Hi There, thank you for your message. We unfortunately do not have information on this model of motor, I am very sorry.

You are either really strong or the clutch motor you took off was very light compared to mine .you might want to warn people that some motors are very heavy. If i would have done mine the way you did, i would have two broken hands. I had to lay my table on its side to remove the motor. Good video though.
