    For many years every miata enthusiast have said that if you're willing to put up with the lifter tick noise then it is harmless. Dont waste so much money to literally fix lifter tick XD

      Lifter tick delete with the added side-effect of doubling your horsepower over stock!

    Lol, dude, totally gotem with the corvette comment. No offense to corvette owners, they're great cars.

    could have used a GM metric rwd trans from a camaro 3.6 or even an s10 2.2 2wd and wouldn't need any adapters only modify the driveshaft and mounting brackets

    I think the 200hp 200tq selling point is bhp not whp. Not really sure, just an assumption from what ive seen.

    • @TheCaffeinatedDrive
      @TheCaffeinatedDrive Před 4 lety +2

      right, more like 160whp

    • @WorstPaperCut
      @WorstPaperCut Před 3 lety

      @@TheCaffeinatedDrive if you have the time. Find a cobalt SS motor. These are literally ecotec engines but it comes with a supercharger. It makes 260 bhp which is 220 whp. If you do that kind of swap, not only do you save time on making more power but also money. Its literally killing 2 birds with one stone.

      @cartermaneki  Před 3 lety +1

      The turbocharged LNF and supercharged LSJ really aren’t used for the swap for several reasons. For starters, the LNF won’t even fit because of its oil cooler on the back of the oil filter housing, and the LSJ is much more expensive and infinitely more scarce than the LE5. The KO4 turbo and M62 supercharger off of the LNF and LSJ fit on the LE5 with minor modifications. Not to mention the LE5 has more displacement!

      @@cartermaneki hm you got a point. Screw it. If you just want more power from ur miata. Just go turbo XD.

    You need to be 55 years old and going through a midlife chrisis to be a fan or corvettes? C8's are going to be a tuners dream

    • @cartermaneki
      @cartermaneki  Před 3 lety

      although the C8’s are very impressive, I wouldn’t exactly say they’re a “tuners dream”. Being that they’re automatic only (as of right now), and a sophisticated mid-engined super car, I certainly would see that driving off a lot of potential customers that are in the tuner scene. Not to mention the $60,000 MSRP, and $100,000+ secondary price.
