    The more protection someone needs, the more power the protector has. The more under threat a person feels, the more power and influence the defender has over them. Young women today are victims because they have been convinced that they are victims and need protection. They are made feel constantly under threat and look to feminism for the protection they think they need.
    They don't realise that the reason that they feel threatened is because of the very people they look to for protection. It is vital for feminism that young women feel threatened and victimised at all times. That is what gives feminism it's power. When a woman can stand up for herself and stand on her own two feet, she no longer needs feminism.

      I agree. It scares women into feeling frightened, which feeds the internal flame of selfishness and irrationality.

    When Dr. Paglia shakes her head, I shake my head as well. Safe spaces and puppy videos for adults who are too afraid to hear that they could be wrong or that other people in the world do not think like them. It's crap like that which makes me believe that there should be some sort of requirement to be able to vote. Something more than "Oh you're at least 18 and you haven't been convicted of a felony? Here you go!" Take a test or do some civic volunteer work or something.

    so umm, it's not i don't like you guys, but i've heard of this story so many times, the crayon, the playdoh, the triggered dog.... Would you share your thoughts on some issues that intersectional feminism discovered (for example black women face different discrimination than white women), and where would you draw the line?

    • @Regless0000
      @Regless0000 Před 7 lety

      Hello. I know i'm nine months late but I thought I'd share my thoughts regardless. While I agree with the concept behind intersectionality I dislike seeing it used to legislate because you end up having different standards for different people. I go by the policy that social structures need a rigid foundation to provide order and be flexible to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. For example judges are instructed when interpreting laws to consider the spirit in which the law was passed, as a simple adherence to wording can in rare cases hinder or detract from what the law was meant to do. Humans are the flexible part, and despite their fallibility there is nothing more adaptable. Plus if a human does get it wrong it much easier to hold that individual responsible than attempt to wage war with bureaucracy and get laws changes. *Although admittedly sometimes the latter is necessary*
      As for where I draw the line. Depends on whether I think a certain institution works better socialist or capitalist. Public education for example is a socialist policy. Yet schools can get radically different amount of funding from the government. then you have private schools. Then you have alumni which donate back to their schools which can be problematic when race quota's siphon the best and brightest out of poor neighborhoods. the individual gets the tools they need to succeed but the neighborhood stays disenfranchised. Furthermore even if he was left in his own neighborhood he or she may not have been able to succeed. There's no way to tell for sure. That why I'd like to see more equality in schools grade 12 and below, not in the form of safe spaces or racial/gender quotas but rather in the form of closer parity in the programs and facilities offered by schools.
