    The SAL-6330 Engine is not the most powerful engine. If you complete the mission with Walter Stroud on Neon in a certain way you unlock the SAL-6830 Engine. It has similar stats as the SAL-6330 and looks the same, but each has 1000 more maneuvering thrust and 10 less mass. It also only uses 2 power each, so you can stack six of them. The extra maneuvering thrust and less mass gives you enough room to add more cargo and still achieve full mobility.
    As I'm a min-maxer at heart, I would try to avoid using unnecessary structural elements unless I have still free budget. So regarding the general build I would replace the upper 2x1 habs and the deimos hull elements behind them with 3x1 habs. I could even see some use for the bigger habs 3x2 as they look nice. Regarding habs in general I would stick to the nova habs as the nova versions of science lab and workshop provide free passenger slots.

    Love your ships but as I watch your videos my mind keeps expecting a bunch of yellow minions to be goofing around inside them since your voice reminds me so much of Gru. 😊

    The looks? Well, they kind of grow on you after a bit but you can't deny the capability.
    Well done Mr. Turtle.
    I just recently started using Cannons on my build and I'm happy with them. Melting the ships but able to fire just one shot and disable systems without too much extra damage. Lasers melting the shields then, surgically disable every system with cannons. Unless I want to eliminate the ship, then it's Obliterators, lasers and cannons all at once.

    Very Cool! I was skeptical of the engine sections while you were building but it turned out looking really good.
    And it's fun seeing builds that are outside of the box, or rather outside of My box. I think most of us tend towards certain tastes when building, no matter what overall type of ship you're looking to build. I like to see other people's creativity at work.. not to mention new ship parts that aren't on my radar.

    So if you get the non-automatic versions of your weapons you can fire them indefinitely. With the auto versions you come to a point where you must wait for the weapon to recharge and it will fire. The recharge rate on the non auto versions is based on how much power you have have given the weapons. I have them with 2 bars of energy missing and the fire rate is fast enough to be negligible. I suggest you try it.

    Built it, except for the Vanguard weapons. Haven't done Vanguard in this playthrough yet. Went with the bigger engine and more cargo, with shield cargo. The ship itself has now taken the place of my Ecliptic Claymore III, which has always been my favorite. It seems to beat it in all performance aspects, as well as having a workshop and a lab. I handcraft a lot.

    Mr Turtle, don’t get angry but your video description claims this is a level 50 ship. I built it last night at level 56 and both the big engine and reactor are still not unlocked. Get 71 mobility and did not add the extra cargo so still at 4200ish cargo. It is still unbeatable and by the time I farm enough ships to fill my cargo hold I will be level 60 anyway. I name all my ships My(insert original name here) so this one is My AngryTurtle.

      @@angryturtlegaming Final review on my build of your design. First off, I also have no ladders, a real nice and open walkaround and it is wonderful. Bed is right next to landing hatch too. Without any points in that tree that gives you 15% more grave jump distance I only had 25 light years of jump, but one point in that option and I now have 29. I added 3 more pieces of Taiyo cowlings to smooth out the ship, my total weight is 3771 pounds.
      Such a nice ship, those 6 cannons are crazy, ship kills only take seconds. Now if only there was a bunch of high level Spacers to hunt some where.

    Not very Star Trek. The nacelles on a Star Trek ship create the warp field and have the particle collectors on the front. No thrusters at all on them. the thrusters for the impulse engines are on the saucer section except for the Defiant class which doesn't have a saucer section or separated nacelles, the impulse engines are on the back of that class. Thrusters on the nacelles is not Start Trek and thats really the only thing Star Trek about it, having nacelles but wrong shape of those as well. There's a few Star Trek inspired ships on The Nexus but they are save games, could be worth a look to see how they made them.
    As for your ship I wouldn't have moved the reactor back, I don't think it looks better. And with habs I have found it better to not include workbenches which allows for less cargo. I put my workbenches at an outpost along with the large storage containers as well as containers for other stuff I want to keep. Plop down the outpost beacon then a row of large storage for crafting mats, at the end of that row furthest from the beacon the other storage then a row of all the workbenches opposite of the large storage. When a storage container gets full I move it to wherever in the outpost and place a new one in it's spot. The reason I find this better is it takes just about the same amount of time to fast travel to the outpost as it does to your ship or about twice as long from the landing but you have much more storage space available and can store all with just a couple menu choices to get to the store all button. Then it allows for less maze like ships and less large ships which makes it easier to get max speed and maneuverability. The benefits outweigh the slightly longer fast travel time.

    Completely amazing build progress. What is the lowest level required to get some of those parts ? I have a couple of completely unbeatable combat ships but so far only 2300 cargo and 28 light years for 100 mobility and 150 speed. With a ship like this, you don't even need outpost storage, and you will make enough money just by farming ships in battle without doing any stupid exploits.

      I ended up with two sets of missles and a set of particle turrets to help out.. I haven't been able to max out missles or targetting skills yet, so i don't have definite opinion. It seems like it's tough making good use of them but they're powerful. The big problem is that i can't make use of their longer range because i can't get target lock that far away. So far, i've been flying in full speed and dumping a full salvo down one ship's throat. I haven't done it yet but i suspect when you go into actual target mode the missles will be deadly.

    You know you can mouseover on item [ctrl]+[G] - duplicate it withot entering everytime in menu with [G]? For Example you strugled when attaching the engines.... So you can chose one from menu, place it and after mousover on the engine and hit [ctrl}+[G] - and you will copy it to the build.
    HopeTech have the best landing gear in game with lander thrust 4 but hull 3 (the mass) - so it's the same powerful but lighter... Only one minus is that they only attachet to the sides of ship.

    Just do the quest for mr.Stroud, you can get the sal 6830 engines that are better than the 6330 ones.

    Looks nice but not sure it’s really no ladders though Turtle! Why aren’t you using Nova Cross Passage with HopeTech HabSpines? You can use Stability Pro landing bay directly onto the Cabot C4 bridge then stagger the rooms using the cross passage and habspines to guarantee no ladders when you board or go to cockpit and walk around. Put the docker at the bottom end of something like 3x1 engineering and it’s all tucked out of the way - that is the only ladder you should see in the middle of your rooms. When spacing the lower deck out with spines you can fill gaps with NG20 landing gears for max thrust. When building upper deck just make sure any 2x1s sit on top of the cross passage or spines to prevent vertical access and guarantee no ladders. I use J52, Pinch 8z and 6x Sal6830 engines and it’s a beautiful beast!
