Thanks for taking your time to test these crazy effects Turtle, very cool!
Thank you so much for the math, it's so amazing when people break open a game and suck out the nugetty goodness that is programming intricates
Yamiks did a video showing raw DPS against high level Terrormorphs with each weapon, all Perks, no enhancements or weapon mods.
The heavy weapons and shotguns ended up at the bottom of the list, implying that the DoT effects were intended for those weapons.
Rifles, pistols, laser weapons and the arc or mining laser ended up at the top of DPS.
no weapon mods? those are essential for some weapons
The stacking fire effect from the lasers perk also applies to the mining laser which you take everywhere.
I didnt realize they made it this much more complicated lol i figured fire is fire. Thank you for the corrections and specifics
What I really learned is I'm sleeping on shotguns and I need to change that...damn.
Awesome!
Been wondering, yet unwilling to put it to the testing like you have. Thanks!
In typical Bethesda style, I would say its a mix of intended and unintended OP combinations.
There is also very nice DOT from Solar Flare power. Useless on small guys, but great on large enemies, like terrormorphs or starborn.
I found an elemental kodama that slaps hard.
officers elemental advanced with instigating , +25% fire rate , elemental
I equipped drum flechette rounds and set to burst fire , the damage is doubled at burst fire and with the +25% fire rate bonus the fire rate is not affected so you get double damage with high rate of fire , plus elemental with poison, radiation, corrosive, fire
66 round mag and it procs all the time
MELTS !!!
Hi turtle. Hope you come back to Starfield, today it gets a big update 🤞
yup, as I said before, I need to get myself a Elemental Incendiary Va'Ruun Inflictor & get some points into that Laser perk.
Interesting analysis, however I feel like most enemies wouldn't benefit from dot effects because their health pools aren't large enough. Terrormorphs are quite rare to encounter, the majority of enemies are humans and it's quicker to kill them with a big damage weapon. If I come across a terrormorph, I can just cheese them down using a cutter which applies the laser fire dot.
Turtle's Lab cranking out the test results! Thank you
Hi Turtle. I have noticed that some times the DoT from solar flare power has more ticks than other times. This leads me to believe that powers can get legendary affixes like grenades in Fallout 76. This could maybe be something for the Turtle Lab to look into?
Hi Turtle, thanks, amazing testing and info!! Can you please condense thsi knowledge on all effects (legendary/perk/modifications) in a online text document?
I also appreciate all these Turtle. TY
Of course % damage will scale better than flat damage when it comes to end game. I was around level 35, on very hard difficulty. And i found the terrormorph quests quite easy because i used fire grenades and had bleed on my gun.
Not even. Dot damage is garbage against humans, which are 99% of the enemies. Terrormorphs are whatever late game, I actually found some other aliens to be harder, like the ones in the clones quest, plenty of alien types that are fast as hell and one shot you when they're scaled to lvl 100, but there's too few to take into consideration compared to the amount of humans you fight, and humans are straight up easy as fuck with whatever fully modded advanced weapon.
If only there were a 100% method to get an Advanced Legendary Big Bang with Incendiary and Elemental
The chances of that drop are astronomical.
Type TDETECT before summoning the NPC's. That's toggle detection, the NPC's cannot see you with it on and therefore won't attack you so you can test things on them all day long without a fight.
thanks 👍
Huge thanks for this info Turtle!
This is awesome, thank you. I am curious now if the elite enemies with multiple health bars act the same way with the same overall HP percentages from DOTs or if the damage is effectively gated for the different health bars. I hope it’s the former 😂
Been trying to level up my lasers, I was 3 kills away from level 4 lasers when I went into the Unity and started a new plathrough ... I've been killing stuff with all kinds of energy weapons but for some reason none of them are counting as kills for the laser skill anymore :(
I’ve specced myself especially to rock this weapon in particular, cannot wait to find it. (Big Banger)
Been running only that Big Bang love it!
Amazing info!!!!
Thank you so much! And the ignition beam isn't worth it I assume?
I think one inch punch + incendiary on the big bang might do more dmg vs elemental + incendiary
the cutter is bonkers with the laser fire dot it kills every thing no ammo.
Literally the best guy
Subscribed you're contents are awesome!
What’s the deal with Annihilator rounds? Is that a different effect again? If so, how does it stack up with the others?
it's weak I'm still looking what it can be possible used for
Please do a vid the mechanics for a One Inch punch Magshot..I've got a full automatic and it melts targets!!
I have been enjoying your channel for some time now. These things are great to know, but my simple mind struggles to remember the details on my own when building weapon mods vrs where my skill points were spent...
Thank you in advance for your Next video.
I guess I will keep a weapon with DOT around in case I run into terrormorphs
Great vid, @Angry Turtle Gaming. May I ask which mod give the "Freeze" effect (and what is the name of the effect) at the end of your video using the Legendary Big Bang?
it's not the weapon it's the power
@@angryturtlegaming Oh.. thank you
Im just curious to see if u use ballistic weapon with white rounds if it will trigger the burn from laser rank 4 since the damage from those bullet are consider laser damage.
it doesn't trigger it
I feel like this should not be so complicated 😂 needs some attention
Been anticipating this video. Thank you Mr. Turtle.
Enjoy
You missed the kodoma. It has flachet rounds.
Wow, corrosive could also be insanely powerful with high fire rate weapons like the magsheer.
It fires so fast it bugs ouf often, shotguns are better and cheap to use.
Great info. My incendiary Grendel isn’t as terrible as I thought lol. Weapons that can have AP rounds or White hot, which is better?
white hot better on tanky enemies
AP for humans and robots, most of the enemies you'll encounter are humans, a few robots and very very rarely some aliens. I don't think building your character to kill terrormorphs or high lvl aliens is a good idea, those are a non issue at higher levels, any decent advanced weapon with mods is good.
I avoid annihilator rounds because it affects friendly npcs as well, it's annoying when your followers won't shut up about it and you can turn some npcs hostile.
I hear some Arnold in your voice!
Does this work with the Kodama and its basic flechette rounds? I don't quite understand the interactions it does on that gun with added incendiary and elemental legendary modifiers. Does the bleeding effect stack with the other effects or override them? Each bullet hits multiple times as well. Does that have a proc on each bullet fragment or on each bullet as a whole?
Either way I love all your deeply informative vids. Pretty much watched all your Fallout 76 guides and experiments lol.
it should stack with other effects
I have a Kodama Officers elemental advanced , with instigating , +25% fire rate and elemental
It's probably my favorite gun in the entire game. Shreds everything.
When you set it to burst fire , the negative fire rate penalty is offset by the +25% fire rate bonus , so you get the double damage bonus of burst without the fire rate penalty
when you spam burst it fires like full auto , like a laser and it procs all 5 , bleed from the flechette rounds and then burn , poison, corrosive and radiation from the legendary effect elemental
With a 66 round drum mag and high rate of fire 150 + 25% it procs very often all 5 effects
The Kodama Officer's Elemental Advanced is probably the most underrated gun in the game.
So TLDR: More dots more dots more dots
Thanks, Turtle. I hope Bethesda watches this so they can also figure out how their game works.
The only thing I wanted to know is where you found/bought that Super Big Bang.
legendary one is from enemy but you can buy them at hopetown gun vendor, appear around level 25-30
@@angryturtlegaming Thanks.
A vid thats welcomed
Annihilator Rounds?? 😊👌🏼
terrormorph seems to be immune to that
Any info on Tesla damage or does it just stun?
i think it does the same as any other dot from weapon mod 2% per second but I don't remember duration
Thank you for testing this.
It blows my mind that they would do dot damage calculated from enemy HP. The stupidity of this is just on a different scale. You apply 4 dots, any enemy dies. GG. Great game design.
It should be % of player weapon damage or % of DPS over 10 seconds.
Good luck finding ways to stack dot damage.
@@TheBlakamon15 Flechette, incendiary/bleed, elemental shotgun? The laser lvl4 skill in itself?
Try the cutter with level 4 laser skill, one of the best weapons in the game. It’s drawbacks is range.
I did try it and shotgun or arc welder can do better as cutter can't have other legendary effects
Leaving a comment so this video gets more attention.
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢 dude 😎😎 you the man 😎
Giving you a modified name…..Professor Angry Turtle!
I know english isn't your first language. This video is awesome. But I have to share. it's pronounced "in sen dee air ee" in-cen-di-ary
thanks 👍
Why are you waiting so long to kill an enemy? I mean DOTs are good, but who is wiaitng 8 seconds for 1 mob to die? Just unload on them. Not like its hard to get unlimited ammo these days.
I have rerolled legendary items for like an hour straight from a single dude. Best I got was a legendary knife where all 3 mods suck balls. fml
👍👍🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
This is off topic, and a warning, that you can lose ships that you have stolen, even after registering them.
I stole an Ecliptic Class C with 6000 cargo, registered it, and upgraded it costing me 150000 in total and now it's gone from my game. Reddit is full of the same problems and stories.
Also the game is crashing more the more time you have put in, at least 2 to 3 times per session, over 100 hours so far and just the main story to do.
They need to get more patches out ASAP.
Putting enemies on fire is like a stagger, it's not for damage.
One turd 🤣🤣
Love your content. Keep'em coming!
