Sinun videodokumentti on erittäin kiinostavaa. Olen myös Adidas Runners-in jäsenenä Bratislavassa, ja opettelen suomea. Kiitos sinun innoituksesta, se on minulle hyvin motivoivaa, olen innokas tekemään juoksua vielä paremmin. Minä pidän siitä paljon. Kiitoksia.
This was just amazing, it’s these exact kind of movies why I made a CZcams account. Because there can never be enough movies like these of extreme high quality and inspiration.
Ultra runners run 25-30 miles for their weekly long run, but up in the mountains which is much harder and takes much longer than a 26.2 mile road training run. Try it some time.
This is an incredibly well done video. I was so impressed with the quality. It really brought to life the journey of this exceptional runner. An absolute joy to watch.
First of all congratulations for your efforts and also your love for Greece which is actually my country. It is very interesting to see a Finnish athlete to be sponsored from Garmin instead from Suunto. I wish you success to the upcoming races from the bottom of my heart!!! Keep up running.... you really are a role model.....!!!
Some excellent advice about not pushing too hard or too fast and to not loose the passion for long distance running that way. I am on a long road back to running after heart issues a few years ago. I am enjoying running again but my progress is very slow.
Красота,грация,сила спорта и окружающей природы! У нас же лес варварски выпиливаются и уничтожается! А что осталось-загаживается нещадно! Обидно за русских!
Hang on a minute, did I completely not understand the ending?? Did she quit the Spartathalon before the finish and give up running altogether?? Everything was working out then she lost the passion?? I’m so confused!!
I have a Brazilian friend who intends to do this competition. He has a lot of talent to run long distances and is determined. The only problem for him is the usto of the trip. I would love to know if Garmin
She quit at 100K, I think. She hit a wall and decided to stop. It wasn't really explained. Some ultra runners will quit a race if things go bad early on. But she was pretty far into the race. At 100K...
Noora...I noticed in some of your running (not all) you were coming down on the balls of your feet. It seems for long distance running that would not be ideal...but then again what do I know.
It's actually very easy and is the natural way that the human body runs. The problem lies in the running shoes that you wear. They're designed to promote heel strike style of running, which is incorrect for the human body, and it's an invented way to run. Try this simple test. Go to a park where there is nice grass, or to a college or high school track/football stadium that has a grass football field inside the track. Take off your running shoes, and casually run on the grass. Leave your socks on if you like. Note that you will immediately have correct running form (for the most part) and your feet will be landing sort of on that outside pad, just rearward from your little toe. That landing of the foot will be almost imperceptible, and maybe even feel flat. Put your running shoes back on, and repeat. Watch how you immediately go back to thudding along on your heels. The solution? Transition into the barefoot shoes called Vibram FiveFingers. Do this slowly or you will get injured because you have feet that have been in confinement like a wheelchair all their lives. So what does that mean? Buy a pair (ebay is your friend) in the CORRECT size for your feet. My personal favorites are the Spyridon model, or the latest version of trail runner they sell, because these versions have a nice waffle tread for traction, and a little more protection from small stones. Wear them as your "tennis shoes/sneakers" aka; every day walking around shoes as much as you can. Walk in them a mile a day for a few weeks. Then start "jogging" a mile a day in them for a few weeks. Then slowing run longer distances in them. Literally, spread the transition out from purchase date, to being back to your current running mileage, over a period of months. If you don't want to loose your running fitness base during this transition, purchase some other styles of minimalist shoes, and do most of your regular mileage in those, but cut your run short each day, and do a mile of it in the FiveFingers, and increase the daily mileage in the FF's, slowly over a period of months. New Balance makes some great minimalist shoes: "MT101," "Minimus," even a pair of racing flats is nice. Avoid anything with a thick or raised heel, and permanently stop wearing your current running shoes. Be patient. You're gonna be very sore for a few weeks because there are so many little muscles and tendons that have atrophied due to being in "modern" running shoes. This is why you MUST transition slowly......otherwise you WILL get injured. Give yourself a good 6mos, and at a year, if not sooner, you'll love it so much you'll wonder how you ever ran in anything else. Shoes are a tool, not a religion. Choose the tool that allows your body to run the way it was built and engineered to run. This is not about running barefoot. It's about running in the barefoot style. I made the switch to FF's in July 2012, after a "modern running shoe" induced knee injury in '97 had completely ended my running. I have not worn a "modern" running shoe since, nor has my teen daughter, who ran 4 years in high school, both Cross-Country and Track, and was the only member of her teams (boy or girl) to never have an injury. I run year round, and each year she and I run rim-to-rim at the Grand Canyon, in our FF's, which is 24 miles. You can watch the videos: Principles of Natural Running with Dr. Mark Cucuzzella on CZcams, and see an excellent explanation and demonstration of how the human body is built to run. Please note: He runs barefoot on the pavement in the video, not because he's promoting barefoot running, but because he wants to demonstrate to the camera and view, how the feet and legs work. If you have the interest to read the book "Born To Run" you may find that helpful and motivational, and it explains how the shoes pioneered by Bill Bowerman and Nike in the early 70's, led to the change to heel strike running, which then led to such a high percentage of runners becoming injured.
@@austinado16 so much blabla for telling bullshit....There is not 1 natural strike. Toe or heel are both natural, the faster you run the more you run on the front, theslower or the longer you run and you will land on your heel !!
What a great 'running' journey! Much love from Greece!

Agree that it is a well done video. I need some video assistants...and much better video cameras...and background music. And some video editors...
Maybe something happened on-line but, here at my home, this is almost unwatchable and I was so looking forward to it. Very disappointed.

Yes, I was wondering the same thing...though I think that I understand why that can be.
I think it goes to the outstanding coaching she receives. It's really a tribute to both her and her coaches.

The Best VIDIO
Traducción al español 🙏🏼
Vryy beautiful place
Thanks! Great documentary. I wish you hadn’t cranked up the meaningless muzak though. The raw emotions of Noora’s journey deserve better than that.
Run 👍

Powerful Women
Such a great video, overshadowed by its badly translated subtitles. At moments they made no sense.
i agree but all in all a nice doco. well done.
after watching this...maybe there IS a "master race" ? A 24 hour race.
Are you in Estonia?
Finland
Hang on a minute, did I completely not understand the ending?? Did she quit the Spartathalon before the finish and give up running altogether?? Everything was working out then she lost the passion?? I’m so confused!!
She just couldn't complete the race, it happens in ultra.. sometimes your body don't cooperate...
👍
Finnish Power Hueva Soumi
I have a Brazilian friend who intends to do this competition. He has a lot of talent to run long distances and is determined. The only problem for him is the usto of the trip.
I would love to know if Garmin
beautiful music ,better than Jam and Lewis.
👍🏃♂️🙏😘
Nice video, but:
What do you mean with „based on a true story“?? Is this the story of her or not? Or is she only an actor?
I‘m confused...
I think it's just a translation "error." She's the real deal.
soo... did she feel burned out in the end?? what exactly happen there?
She quit at 100K, I think. She hit a wall and decided to stop. It wasn't really explained. Some ultra runners will quit a race if things go bad early on. But she was pretty far into the race. At 100K...

Hi
A Finnish ultrarunner sponsored by Garmin? What Suunto thinks about that?
