Because Mercedes are now in the position that Red Bull & Ferrari have been in since the start of the turbo hybrid era. They are playing catch-up They aren’t the fastest anymore so the wins have really got to be through strategic thinking.

Mazepin got unlucky because of the wind. If he was in Verstappen’s position Hamilton would’ve come second....
He was absolutely dreadful today, once again. I know that in many ways he's the perfect #2 driver for the team, but if the performances keep being like they've been between Turkey 2020 and Bahrain 2021, there's little doubt in my mind that Mercedes will give up on him nonetheless.
Lewis can't consider Max as a rival. The talent difference is scandalous. If he does that, for sure he overstimates his driving skills. But, lucky for him, driving skills became less and less important in the last years.

I wish more people would talk about how genuinely incredible checo is.. starting from pit lane to end up fifth this man has had two solid amazing come back races... I can't believe he was almost out of a seat.

He said he learned a lot from Fernando when he was behind of Alonso's car in the race, then he tried it out after overtaking the champion and his performance got better in some corners. He is a real deal. I just wanted to see Yuki's final lap battle with Stroll.
