  • This is the BIG swap. In this video Dan takes two of his SKX mods and swaps the parts around to make an MM300-SBDC051 Hybrid and a grey 62Mas style SKX007.
    As well as test fitting a Heimdallr bracelet on the NamokiMods MM300 case with some success.

    Recently got into watches, and these modding processes are fascinating. Binging all your videos from the very 1st one.

    Loved the look of the two watches but I have to admit, the grey/silver watch looks stunning. Thinking of doing something similar but with a Yachtmaster style bezel. Fantastic work as always.

    I will never get tired of saying this channel is really brilliant. I love all your mods. I love you are always looking forward to improving your own work. And above all I love you don't hide when things are not as planned. Thanks for give us such us high quality content. I reckon the heimdaller bracelet is intended originally for a MM300.

    Stunning results. I love the can do/will do attitude with the bracelet, this is how we get the mod that no one else has. Great video as always mate.

    Awesome video and editing, like the style of this one! Both builds are outstanding, the skx build would be wicked, always a classic.

    Looks like the handloom dimmed considerably since the original build I did notice that the color was slightly off but now it's very plain to see, I love that you're doing this rebuild

    Nice build, I had a similar idea with my SBDC055 but I find the yobokies hands were a bit short. I think they are a replica of the original 62MAS which was a smaller watch. I replaced the hands with a set of 13mm long 62MAS style hands, which proportionally I prefer, but the lume isn't as good as Yobokies. Can't have it all...

    FYI, tried the MM300 Heimdollar strap on the Namoki MM300 case, a BIG no go for me, so ordered a SeikoMods MM300 case to see if it works on that? We will see!

    Been stuck watching your videos all day and you do a fantastic job, please continue doing what you are doing. I do have one question though if you don't mind answering, where are you sourcing your OEM Seiko dials? I am having a hard time finding any for my builds that I am planning out. Thank you for your content!

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  Před rokem +1

      1.weezmods.com/en-gb/collections/dials?page=2 is a good place to start
      2. tokeilab.com/collections/oem-dials they've got a good selection when they're in stock
      3.The other place is usually AliExpress to be honest. Batches of OEM dials end up on there and are and there's quite the variety of them.
      4. eBay, and i will sometimes use PicClick (i think that's what its called) to find more results that would otherwise not show up in my country.
      5. Watch Parts Plaza is also a good site for finding them sometimes.
      Unfortunately the difficulty comes from when you want an EXACT dial that perhaps isn't as common, finding that ONE dial can prove troublesome. But if you just peruse through the OEM ones available and find one you like and form your build around that, you'll have something much more accessible.
      Anyway I hope this helps.

    Loved the tempo of your watch build video 👍🏼
    Personally, I wouldn't go the mickey mouse route with next build, but I reckon there's plenty of lume fanbois out there. You could run a community poll, see what the pleb wants to see next.
    As for the hands, allow me to recommend Adriel's (LuciusAtelier). His hands never disappointed me in regards to quality, fitting, lume.

    Your mod videos have been very helpful to me. I would also like to recommend your video to the watch community.
    I have a question. I saw a mm300 style 42mm mod watch made with a mm300 conversion case based on the skx007, but the depth of the actual mm300 dial feels a little different. Is it correct that it is different from the actual mm300's dial depth?

    Cool video, although that steel bezel looks much better on the MM imo.
    Interesting choice with the music. I like it, but it puts an energetic, rushed mood and feeling over a process associated with precision and patience. Quite jarring.

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  Před 2 lety +1

      I agree, It was an experiment that I probably won't repeat. Unless I can find some more mellow punk-rock style music that's better suited to it, since I do like that style of music itself. Unfortunately my problem is finding Free Royalty-free stock music that's to my liking in the genre that I'm looking for at the time. I've contemplated on making custom music for this channel that has a feel that I want while being appropriate but its a bit too much of an undertaking for a hobbyist like myself at the moment.
      Anyway, thanks for watching, and thanks for your input. I also agree about the steel bezel on the MM case looking better, its why I'm thinking of reverting that build to an SKX007 look but with more lume to spruce it up and make it interesting.

    Nope, the Heimdaller MM300 does not fit the CT-SeikoMods MM300 case (though they said a standard MM300 bracelet would fit!). Rats, am asking CT for an explanation, oh well.

    Hi! I love your vids. I was wondering if you could try or have you tried Super-O Boyer watch band from Strapcode? Please let us know if this is possible. Thanks! (P.S. I have the same mm300 conversion case from Namoki)

    • @ItsAnotherWatch
      @ItsAnotherWatch  Před 2 lety +1

      I can't say I've had experience with it. But looking at the strapcode website the Super-O Boyer seems to just be what they call their 3 link oyster-style bracelets. Although I haven't bought one of those specifically, I can say that the MiLtat strapcode bracelets are fantastic (I own 2 of the 3 link versions), so I assume their quality is just as good.
      However if you're going for something that needs to fit the MM300 case from NamokiMods, i'd play it safe and go with the Namoki MM300 bracelet for a perfect fit. Since not any 20mm bracelet would fit it. I've even herd that the strapcode MM300 bracelets don't fit it (or at least well).
