Hi Darak - I am SOO glad you're back and its good to see some new work. The proxima mono-block is also a unique build with some great adendums. I must say - I like the before and the after equally as much as one another - The sunburst dial and the red ay markers appeal to me. But your new dials works superbly too. A GREAT JOB - well done
A chapter ring built for that dial would have made this watch a must-have for any Seiko enthusiast. Thank you for being at the forefront of creative watch mods.

Not the sort of thing I usually like being into vintage king seiko.. However this is a really nice conversion & very nice for a homage to what is a very expensive Seiko diver.. Good post thanks.

In theory, could you have performed hand removal, dial removal and replacement without bothering to remove movement from case?
Another great build. This is my go to channel for Seiko builds. Can you please make a video showing all the tools you use and where we can get some of these dials.

Hi Darak! Always great to see your watch builds. Question on the chapter ring, did you sand it flat with a dremel sanding wheel? like how much did u sand off? Without the dial dots, the ring will move when reinstalling the crystal?

Yes that came out very nice!! The original face / dial was ugly and needed replaced!! Was it just me or is the bezel insert off ?

I appreciate the effort on making a high quality video. I've been looking for videos of the Proxima MM300 and only "The Watcher" seemed to have videos of it and the quality of his videos are garbage -- as in the video quality itself. It's not enough to appreciate a watch or not. Anyway, I've ordered the Proxima MM300 already, although I ordered the BGW9 fully lumed variant.

I saw the Proxima MM300 SBDX001 homage after your excellent video, I noticed three version: nh35 (U$ 204), pt5000 (U$ 240) and sw200 (U$ 354), which one will you choose? Give me reasons for your, choice, please.
I've seen this dial before in pics and thought that would have to used in my next 013 build. Looks even better in this video. Too bad that 013 chapter ring did not fit.

To me the bezel is stunning and the case is nice as well. The dial is 100% improvement over stock.
Any chance a similar bezel could be fitted to a quality Seiko dive watch? I would be very interested if that could be done.

I wonder if a chapter ring designed for the SKX013 from Lucius Atellier would work. Of course, you don't get minute marks but it is narrower than other chapter rings so it might clear the indices on the dial more easily as it's designed to do do you can use standard size dials in an 013 case.
Hi Steven, the one I try is the one from Lucius Atelier, you can use it, but you need to sand it down, it's too thick.
@@darakwatches467 got it. I think that's the one I would go with. A bit of wet sanding on some 500 or 1000 grit sandpaper might allow it to clear the crystal.
Hi Steven, yes, you might need to sand away like 0.6~0.8 mm, but it’s manageable.
Or, buy the donor watch with the chapter ring that goes with your new dial. I bought the black MM homage and swapped out the dial to a Seiko MM. Looks great!
Hi Darak! Tried removing the bezel, pretty tight to pry it off. I'm using the yellow prying tool. Any tips?
I'm sure Darak would offer better tips than me, but when I finally got the bezel off of this model, it was pretty tight, so I had to apply a bit of pressure with the tool, and then use the fingers of the hand holding the watch head to keep that gap open slightly, then moved the tool to the next "corner" of the watch, pry that side a bit, maintain whatever tiny gap I'd managed to open with finger pressure, go back to the first corner, rinse and repeat until bezel popped off. Good luck!
@@jananilcolonoscopu4034 hey man! thanks for your reply. I finally got it opened by turning and pull the bezel off with wearing finger cots. Glad it worked well, but i had some 'prying scratches' earlier.
