- Today we're gonna do a Ford Escape Front Seat Removal. Removing the front seats is pretty easy in any vehicle but we figured we'd make a video on how to remove your Ford Escape front seats. This front seat removal will work for many vehicles as front seat removals are pretty similar with differences in locations of clips, wires, ect. (this will NOT work on every vehicle)

Why don’t you go make a bunch of Free videos for millions of people to watch so they can put food on their tables…… Pay rent, gas etc. etc. and not have to go pay a mechanic to do it for them. You’re very welcome Brendan and welcome to the channel, that’s probably not a job will ever really tackle because they’re so inexpensive if you give me your ZIP Code or if you want to go to car-part.com and put in your ZIP Code, it will tell you Your local reputable recycling facility has them the reason I won’t tackle that job is because looking on that site after you asked your question they’re only about $350-$500 complete which means that they don’t go bad very often in the later models they are very expensive but the earlier years are extremely inexpensive and it makes more sense just to replace it Hope that information finds you well have a great day and thanks for the kind words

How do I remove bottom seat cushion
I ordered Foam cushion from Ford and replacement Vinyl seat cover.
Foam and vinyl needs to be removed.
Well, Harvey, I’m not certain about that but I do have one coming in the shop here in about two weeks. I may make a video about disassembling it can’t make any promises at the moment.

I never even thought about thr airbag! If I remove the battery terminals does that guarantee the airbags won't go off? I have an 05 escape hybrid and mine definitely have airbags...
I wouldn’t spend too much time thinking about it generally the module Hass to get affected somehow for it go off. Once it’s disconnected really there’s no reason it should go off. I’ve never really thought about it but I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to wait a couple minutes once you disconnect the battery. But like I said I wouldn’t be too worried about it even if you didn’t disconnect the battery I’ve changed dozens of them without disconnecting the battery I’ve never had one go off.
So for whatever reason, my escape instead of having normal bolts, has big ass torx bolts. Any tips? Or am I just going to have to buy a torx bit?

Yes, because the bodies are made identically so the seat would be identical as well
I noticed you had disconnected the positive power on the battery - is it not safer to do the negative lead when disconnecting a car battery for service so that if it does happen to fall and hit a grounded piece of metal it wont cause a direct short ?
Wouldn’t matter if it fell and had the grounded piece…….. it’s not hooked up to the battery…. So there’s no power
And you don’t need the battery disconnected to remove the seat. I think I also mentioned that to.
As someone who is new to car maintenance, the part about the car battery went by way too fast for me. I'm not even sure where the battery is in a car, but shouldn't it be turned off if you haven't used your car recently? I thought air bags only went off when cars were running.

I didn’t. Sorry, I’m sure you could just Google it I would assume or you could get some out of a parts vehicle from the recycling yard.

Also, why are you telling people to remove the positive cable?? You know dang well Jerry is gonna watch this, grab him 8mm and start turning the positive battery nut while the ground is still connected, swing that wrench into ANYTHING grounded, and short the battery out, creating impromptu fireworks.

See hears the thing about CZcams videos … and just about any video no matter what platform it’s on engagement conversations positive or negative push a video I’ve been working on cars for I don’t know 30 years I guess and doing you tube for six and it’s no different than learning automobiles. You learn that even if somebody says something negative, don’t make a video that is perfect so people such as yourself can mention things like you mention it’s called engagement.
So if you ever watch me do Brakes you’ll notice that I always leave the caliper hanging on my personal vehicles because they’re my personal vehicles and if something breaks, I can fix them, but I do it so people say never to do it….

No , probably not many videos have that rolling at the bottom. but I might not be for you I kind of do what I want to do I miss Channell and that’s kind of the reason that I named at the Clay way. What about the other seat? Different bolts
The drivers side seat in my 2010 Escape slants toward the door. What could be the problem? Uncomfortable driving like that!
Guess would be (worse case ) floor support rusted

Anyone know how to remove the back seats??
I do….. Pull the bottom seat cushion forward like you’re going to lower the seats down flat.
There are two ways to remove the seat cushion
One there’s a little yellow tab that you can pull up and slide the bar out of the holder
Or you can take the two bolts out that are holding the bar down to the floor if I remember correctly they are 15 mm
The upright portion / back portion of the seat is secure down by if I remember correctly four bolts per section. And I believe they are also 15 mm
Remove the nuts for the section that you want to remove out of the vehicle. Make sure that you take the female portion of the seatbelt holder and pull it out of the rubber bands that are holding it up
These rear seats are very very simple to remove and I’m quite certain that you didn’t take a couple of moments to look at them because it is very self-explanatory please don’t take that the wrong way I’m trying to give you confidence I’m not trying to put you down. Once you look at them you will understand exactly what I’m saying

4 bolts? Are you sure hat's a Ford? I was expecting a metric electric double mounted studded tight reach bracket system tensioned with an actuator controlled by a computer activated by the vehicle's stereo system.....
