- China is rapidly building out its military capabilities while carrying out intense economic coercion against Taiwan-an advanced democracy, the global leader in semiconductors, and our close partner. It is in the U.S.’ interest to help Taiwan combat the Chinese Communist Party’s aggressive behavior and deter future actions aimed at bringing Taiwan under China’s control. Failure to do this would be a blow to free societies around the world and cause immense economic calamity.

Romney is one of the last sensible Republicans out there. I left the Republican party back around 2005 because the extremists started taking over the party and it steadily got worse. The Republican party is a shell of its former self.

The U.S. has a double standards problem if they want to lecture other countries about diplomatic relations with Taiwan. America itself could lead by recognizing Taiwan as a country first and reestablish diplomatic relations.

I wish Romney would run in 2024! He'd get my vote easily. I'm sure many other Dems that are on the fence with Biden, but hate Trump would vote for Romney as well. I'm a former Republican, registered Dem, but politically Centrist so I'd have no qualms about voting for a Republican like Romney.

Maybe you don’t know there are only less than 3 countries that have diplomatic relations with Taiwan, which don’t include the US. And 95% of the countries on earth recognize Taiwan as a part of China. Check it online.

It takes two to tango when it comes to ownership and control of another. The question is, what bases that claim that gives one more control versus the other: by doctrine or cause by event.

I suggest a radically different approach to American democracy. Its an ideology that follows your own Gods teachings.
