Thanks for correcting me Luz, I feel like the US would *like* to say that everyone has drinkable tap water but you're definitely right that it is contaminated and absolutely not drinkable in some states. It's so wrong. :|
This is a great video. I also have a period cup & period Underwear, it's the best purchases I've ever made. I do not need deodorant either. I have always used reusable containers & I do have those silicone bags. & if I need clothes I usually buy them on a Thrift store.
Feel you when it comes to the Smoothies and Avocado Toast... they are almost always a disappointment when I get them out somewhere. I have perfected my smoothie game, and I load up my avocado toast in a way that restaurants just won't.

I agree with the reusable cloths! My bf introduced me to it and it can go in the washing machine or dishwasher. We still sometimes use paper towel for extra things but we usually buy a 6 pack roll every 6-8 months.
After buying a blender where I can actually make a high quality smoothie, I haven't purchased a smoothie from a shop. It's usually watered down with zero thickness. Also, I have purchased smoothies where the ingredients are not completely blended like chia seeds and flaxseeds. Just too costly and low quality for me. Next, some of my Indian friends don't where deodorant and you make a great point about not wanting to block your sweat glands. Finally, I haven't purchased paper towels for quite a while (i.e. 9+ months or so) because I purchased several microfiber cloths from Maker's Clean and I agree that I do need to move away from Ziploc bags. Bravo!!!!
These are great tips! I would recommend getting an IUD. It will last up to 7 years and for a lot of women it will stop periods. So not only will you stop buying birth control but also menstrual products. Even if you keep having periods with it, periods will be much lighter. An IUD is the most effective form of birth control aside from abstinence. Especially important if you're living in a state where abortion is not allowed anymore. If you don't have health insurance you can get it from Planned Parenthood.
IUDs come with their own risks and calls for a lot more research to make such a personal decision. I'm not a fan of any hormonal birth control given my experiences so I'm not defending pills but I stand by menstrual cups any day.

We try to not buy liquid detergent anymore. Detergent sheets are less messy and are much better for the environment. I have tried to opt to buy less fast fashion as well.
I stopped buying dryer sheets. I bought wool balls. I know not vegan. But i can make the one set last a lifetime. If I want some scent I will put a drop of essential oil on a ball.
Some wool can be okay, at least in my opinion. There is a woman near me who has pet alpacas and a couple pet sheep. Whenever it’s time to shear them, she makes dryer balls, socks, little animal figures, etc out of them and gifts it to family and friends. I don’t see anything wrong with that.
totally feel you on the designer goods! glad i don't really care for them in the first place, and glad i'm vegan, so i'm not really even tempted to ever give into them either!

Plastic water bottles are very upsetting! I had to purchase them for an employer and I hated it! He had good tap water and bought the big water cooler bottles, but still had a supply of water bottles in his room!!

I love this! I also use a detergent that's like a concentrate so it's less packaging and no more dryer sheets :)
My mom doesn’t use deodorant either. She just dabs a little of baking soda on her armpits and that does the trick.

In some ways yes, much fewer chemicals involved but it is definitely an adjustment too! You don't need to change as often either
