Looks amazing now. Very stock looking ! Totally feel the same about having that finished look. Sound is actually better than the previous ... smoother and even more subtle ... love it !!
Mick, The DC setup and diffuser looks great. I’m currently searching for ideas and enjoyed your video. It’s awesome you had the 2J and then switched to DC. I always thought that the 2J was a little too pokey and 4in too big on the outlets. Great info, beautiful car.
Agreed. One screams boy-racer and the other merely a potential model up-grade. Would've like to hear an exact same-date before and after comparison. It'd be the only post of its kind out there for sure.
You passed us in a flame blue Corolla yesterday if you remember seeing one. My dad is interested in where you got your bumper and where you get the exhaust.
@@devonrebarchick2712 Nice.. I do remember passing your car. You have some decals on the back glass. I got the exhaust from redline360 and the diffuser is the tom's racing replica from eBay. Check out my 2j exhaust video I posted prior to getting the DC sport. In it I touch on what I did to get it where it is now.
That looks much better and it sounds good as week. I’ve noticed that you’re from VA, I’m in VA beach as well. I’d like to see your car in person cause I have the same exact car that I just got last month. Let me know if you ever wanna meet up. 🤙🏽
@Mick75 Are you able to measure the outer ends of the exhaust tips end to end. I’m look for a total width of 44” or less end to end for my corolla cross. Thanks again!
This exhaust in my opinion is perfect for the daily. Bit of a tone during part throttle on highway but when cruising at 70-80 with pretty consistent throttle it sounds like stock.
Perfect - exactly what I'm looking for. You should make a deal with DC for a coupon code, cause you sir have absolutely given them a customer over 2J ;)
Looks awesome and sounds great. I put the Remark Quad on mine and it's a bit too loud and vibrates the interior too much. Do you notice a lot of vibration or drone? Also, did the diffuser you installed require any drilling or how was that put on?
Thank you!! No vibrations but under load/acceleration there is mild exhaust note but on the highway with consistent throttle its like stock. I find it very exceptable for the daily commute. As for the diffuser install.. it comes with double sided foam tape to help secure the top part of the diffuser to the bumper and supplied push clips and self tapping screws to secure the bottom section. I did not how ever use the provided hardware. I am not a fan of using just screws to secure body parts. So I chose to source out 4 fender bolts and 4 U type body clips to secure it underneath. Looks OEM. So doing that did require me to drill 2 holes where the self tapping screws would have gone. The other 2 holes are pre existing from where the factory trim was installed using push clips.
what brand is the rear diffuser and what source were you able to purchase from? Is just the durables or fiberglass kind? I want to get the TOMS style but not tryin to pay $700 lol

Did you experience any rattling like part of the mid pipe hitting the metal lining on top of the pipe? I think mine is hitting the middle but I can't figure it out even if I adjusted it.
No I have no rubbing. I think I know what your referring to though because I did have to rotate the center pipe down to allow some space from the heat sheild.
@@mick76 Good idea, I was thinking that may be it, but once everything looked "good", I got out of under the car to finish up, and didn't hear it initially until 10 minutes after test driving it.
To be fair, the remark exhaust has slightly more character to it, especially on the high notes but not by much. The tips on this one are definitely more appealing and attractive.
Maybe so... I had the 2j-racing prior to this, and it sounded good but looked awful. I was more after esthetics than what the exhaust would sound like. The DC has a mild tone, which I think is great for a daily.
@mr.wiggles7535 Holding up very well. Put about 40,000mis. On the car since install. Just like new. No change in tone. It's all stainless steel, so no rust.
So just to confirm, you have a 2022 model and this exhaust fit? I've been looking at this exhaust, but the fact that it's listed as a 2019-2021 was making me a little hesitant lol
Yep mine is a '22 and the exhaust is a perfect fit. '22's are the exact same as '19-'21. I noticed that to when looking at other parts. Some sites just haven't updated to reflect current model.
I get about 32 mpg on the highway driving 70-80mph. With current price of fuel its about $35.00 for a fill when on empty. Tires are Yokohama Advid GT 225/40r18.
They are the components that are used to bolt the exhaust center pipe to mid pipe. It is what is used from the factory and what is included with exhaust. I used the stock springs and bolts because the 14mm nuts are welded to the mid pipe from the factory.
Honestly, there is quite a lot offered on the XSE. I had a 2006 corolla that I traded in for my Hatch and it is nice upgrade. I think Toyota did a great job putting together a nice package with a bunch options to choose from but if I had to narrow it down it would be the 6spd. transmission, heated seats and the infotainment system.
I'm not sure about the decibel output. DC sport doesn't specify. It's not very loud at all but noticeable over stock, but if you're looking for a louder exhaust note, add a header and mid pipe.
Maybe some one will chime in if they to have had issues, but what I did to get mine level was install the exhaust system leaving pipe clamps loose. I then supported the muffler using jack stands. Placing them one on either side near the exhaust tips. Using some rags placed on top of the jack stands to get proper spacing between tips and diffuser. Then tightend up the clamps while making sure there is clearance between the mid pipe and heat shield. Mid pipe might need to be rotated downward to get clearance. If that doesn't work try bending one or both muffler hangers up or down depending on which side is lower or higher. Hope this makes sense and good luck. Also I have never installed an exhaust that came out perfect after the initial install. Always had to do some tweaking afterwards to get it perfect. Sometimes it can be a bit time consuming.
@AutoBat1 or if you don't want to buy multiple exhausts to find one that fits properly, like I did. Watch the whole video. Refer to my other Corolla exhaust video.
