    This looks like the most comfortable car ever. When I see this compared to what passes for luxury now a days I think we've lost out. I so wish we could buy cars this nicely done, and especially with seats that comfortable.

      This thing is fucking huge. I saw one driving around not a long time ago. Too wide for our roads. I allways tought that the 7 & 5 Series my father had where huge, but this?

    • @discerningmind
      @discerningmind Před 4 lety +1

      @Christopher Adams I should have made a better structured sentence. My reference was in regard to what we're told is luxury now. Not actually luxury cars. I was getting at things like leather passing as luxury, particularly cheap grades of leather like in a Dodge minivan. Also items of electronics because they have connectivity. I miss being able to buy an average type of car that comes with comfortable and nice feeling cloth seats instead of fabric that looks like tennis shoe material, and beneath it being a hard surface to sit on. Carpeting too was much nicer and now it's become a hard mat. I have good things to say about the cars we have now but my focus here is the difference in what luxury was and seems to be now.

      @@discerningmind man go ahead and teat yourself to a nice classic used car for sale. Theres a few out there you can get in and drive. You'll also have the hard plastic crap they sell us now so you wnt have to drive it everyday or if something goes wrong. I have a 1991 cadillac fleetwood brougham and also a 2000 buick lesabre. The cadillac is the most fun to drive though if I'm being honest lol

      @@slabbinonspokezz2375 Thank you.
      It doesn't surprise me that your Cadillac is more fun to drive. I'm recalling the Cadillac's that I owned in the past.
      One of the reasons for the fun is that 1991 was still a vintage of Cadillac built to be special, and that makes for you feeling special. Every time I'd get in one of my Cadillac's built prior to the 2000's it was a pleasure just taking-in the interior, and made me feel like I really had something.
      My last Cadillac was a 2004 de Ville and that one wasn't much different than a Chevy. By that point they had so cheapened them that there just wasn't any feeling of being special.

I was way to rusted out to fix and had MANY issues with it, Now I have a 76 coupe DeVille DeElagance with 42K on it A real Cream Puff. Enjoy the Car. Carmen (Calgary)

    A huge ecological disaster. I think they got 8 mpg. That back bumper was a ridiculous engineering solution for the new federal government regulation that bumpers meet certain crash standards. That middle spacer always rotted and cracked due to weathered.

  • @scottelkin562
    @scottelkin562 Před 6 lety

    All that fake wood and pillowed velour. The foot rests are holdovers from the mid to late '60's Fleetwoods. The '60's Fleetwoods had lighted fold away tables (desks) for the rear seat passengers. I'm guessing Ralph Nader took care of those.

    • @k3nblock66
      @k3nblock66  Před 6 lety +1

      1966 and 1967 Fleetwood had the lighted tray tables. If I had a guess, I would say Cadillac killed the tray tables, since I believe heated seats were an option for 68 and killed off after 1969 due to lack of sales.
