  • Today I'm painting/modding an Xbox 360 controller. I am super happy with this makeover, and really happy that I made this for myself. Right now I really feel like doing more makeovers/custom mods of consoles or controllers. If you have any suggestions for what to make, leave it in the comments!

      Natural Nerd would be cool if you mod/paint a new xbox one controller. Btw what clear coat are you using?

      I'd love to see a whole new controller made by creating a 2 part mold for the top and another for the bottom, using alumilite resin and pearlex to create a swirly transparent effect in the end could probably be done without too much difficulty using a slush casting method, though it'd require a lot of careful cleanup later. Would be even more cool to create new buttons with an LED inside each of them. I can see how that might be a little overly complex though, what with trying to create . How about making a new custom casing for your xbox? Something to sort-of match your new controller paint scheme but looking completely unlike an xbox(ie. something more rectangular and less organic looking with EL strips as decoration)?

      @TheTechnosasquatch Před 6 lety +2

      If you have a Wii U laying around that could make for an interesting mod job. Or like GreatSmithanon said a companion paint job for the controller's console could be cool too.

    very nice! Could a Keyboard be done like this? I imagine the sanding part might be problematic!

    • @H4Xcashmoney
      @H4Xcashmoney Před 6 lety +1

      A keyboard would be amazing :D

    • @GreatSmithanon
      @GreatSmithanon Před 6 lety

      It can be done to a keyboard pretty easily. If you start out with "Das Keyboard" you have blank keys to work with. sand the keys down the same as anything else, and you can even put your own custom font on all the keycaps if you know what you're doing. I've also seen people make keycaps out of typewriter keys, cast resin, cast aluminum, cast copper, the ends of hex bolts, buttons sunk in resin, all kinds of neat things.
