The screen crack effect is such a classic
$240 is not too bad, but it would've been an excellent deal if the console was RGH'd too for that price.
The guy who does these doesn't do software mods purely aesthetic mods and shell swaps.
What is rgh?
@@k9vendettathewolfofmordor529 RGH is the main form of modding a Xbox 360 to be able to run emulators or games directly from the hard drive.

This is definitely one of the cooler mods I've seen for an xbox 360. I'd love to see something like this for a PS3

Yeah, couldn’t tell it was at a slight angle when filming because of where I’m sitting, but noticed it in the video edit. It is slightly annoying lol

I know it's prob look ugly but couldnt that thermal prob be moved and taped to the heatsink or moved by exhaust to give a better reading lol

This is bringing back memories of that one old Ashens video with the Polystation 3 knockoff where the disc tray is the small screen.
Generally you want negative pressure inside a case. That screen is definitely adding in more heat than the designers planned for with their default fans/holes, so adding a new fan as an exhaust right by the screen makes perfect sense. Better than not having a fan, or having it point inwards.

I also have never seen a good painted console. I once asked someone on Mercari what method and type of paint they used to paint their consoles... they told me it was secret... which means to me that it was unprimed on a dirty oily surface with water based acrylic paint that will scratch off just by looking at it... same as always it seems.
I have an og Xbox on the way that I plan on painting. I’m pretty worried
I remember the exact shop that modified these… it was called play n trade and it was a place that modified and honestly competed with GameStop. It was amazing and I knew the owner of one of the stores at the time. The place would constantly try to fix peoples consoles and they would modify Xbox’s just like what you see in the video.

Kind of weird they have the lights on the same panel as the screen as that would really annoy me. Especially the bright temperature display. A flip up display as big as the whole xbox would have been cool.
Yeah a laptop/clamshell would have been cool
My only thought for the fan under the screen is to try to make the air out the back colder if it blowing into the console
I like it its the first 360 that kinda pops with the lcd the leds only bad thing the temperature sensor is not conected to the motherboard. The rest this one is a 9 out of 10 only couse of the sensor.👌

Not bad a pretty clean job the TV is mounted a little bit crooked that would annoy me and it sucks you don’t have a remote for the LEDs to change the color
I didn't initially notice it but just noticed it now.
It reminds me of when I bought an e-reader that had a misaligned display that looked fine at first but was crooked on close inspection. I had to live with that and later realised while repairing other e-readers that it was likely due a lack of markers on the inside to help align the EPD panel.

I like how the bubble wrap you ripped in half was already off the console just had to slide it out the way but kept ripping. Idk that bothered me as much as it did when it should not have at all haha

I like that they didn't make the HDMI permanent, it looks worse but you can stick it back in your entertainment center when you're done taking it with you
although now you can get screens for about $70 that is 15.6" monitor that can fit in a laptop bag beside your laptop, and could be powered off of the console's USB ports.
@@JessicaFEREM Literally just bought one for myself for Christmas. $67. And that thing is a beast. The colors really surprised me for something so cheap. It's almost as good as my basic HDR10 TV lol. And a full booklet with instructions and guides and very few spelling errors. And several good quality cables that actually feel durable for power and A/V. I mounted it above my pillow so I could fall asleep watching youtube, or playing games for a little before that.

MS changed how gold works some months ago
I work at a little gameshop in a flea market and we have a ton of unused trial cards from games all the way back to the Halo 2 days
I haven't gotten any to work recently despite never been used

It may be portable in the fact it does not need to be tethered to a wall, but it’s still a heavy boy
i add little screens to my pc towers, they play diffrent graphics,like if im playing star wars, i cant have movie clips playing, and gta, i have the map on the little screen so its helpful sometimes, and looks kewl always, i put kewl screen savers and widgets on it, and use touchscreen, try it its awesome! i make theme towers, like strangers things, and i have a demegorgon playing in the tower screen...try it!

Ive remember taking it apart and cleaning it because of the Red death i got. Because dust made turn that red light on i watch a CZcams video on how to take a Xbox 360 apart pretty fun and easy

cool idea but poor execution/installation... the carbon fiber vinyl isn't cut perfectly around some of the vents, plus the screen is crooked, and the window isnt the color you requested
that screen and the LEDs and other mods are probably pulling too much power from the disc drive connector for me to have confidence in lasting the test of time without burning the connector and/or something on the xbox motherboard. Jasper boards like that even have unpopulated pads on the board that are perfect to solder and pull 12v from, with less worry of going past a disc drive connectors power limits, and melting/breaking stuff on the board.
6/10 rating, only for the little fan that helps to keep the GPU cool (GPU heatsink is half the size of the CPU heatsink, so it needs more airflow)

240 actually seems like a pretty low price for how custom this thing is. Not that I particularly have a need for a screen on the front of my Xbox but if I did I wouldn't feel too offended with that price.

i have an RGH Xbox 360 with a build in 7 inch LCD screen
it's not portable unless it can be hand held (played while in hands like the Steam Deck or it's competitors)
I don’t mean to be rude, but that is pretty ignorant. Something can be portable without being handheld, they’re two completely different things. I’d recommend you look up the definition of “Portable” in a dictionary. Everything that is hand held is portable, but not everything that is portable is handheld if that makes sense. Considering it has a screen built into it, the only thing you would need is a power source. It is definitely considered portable.

That's not a portable, that is what they call a 'luggable'... many 'portable' computers from the late 80's and early 90's were these luggables..

I would expect a nice case not a covered up wrapped version, I would also expect the builder to not pry the case off and leave holes, I would also expect a straight screen. See the thing is, this thing is really cool but let down by the actual care and attention to the actual build! They need to actually understand that the aesthetics matter! and the end product shipped to a customer is of the highest standard or get out the selling game and do it for a hobby for yourself only! Simples.
