Anyone here in 2024
Yup
Me :)
Here :)
Hi :DD!!
Yep
I used to be scared of this when I was younger, and now that I look back
I don’t blame myself in the slightest
I agree! I haven't rewatched it lately, but I'm sure I'd have the same reaction as seeing it the 1st time.
Why? It was a silly movie. ..though Seymour was revered he was responsible for 'murdering,' the dentist as he could have saved him despite his abusive ways
Then letting the plant eat Mr and. Mushnik even though he became greedy...
The best stuff of this production were the songs and the attractive African/American young women singing and dancing.
Me too. I first watched the movie when I was 8 in 1988 on tv.
I still think the plant is creepy to this day. The movie is fun though.
I rewatched it a couple years ago and enjoyed it.
@@eloiseockert9233 It is a horror, in the original musical, the plant wins, and then the cast sings a song called "don't feed the plants." Of course, Hollywood wanted a happy ending. Boo.
@@blucolifeit's good either way
My school is doing a musical about plant next spring and they won’t tell us which it is. I asked a senior to give me hints and my first guess was this one.
Did it end up being..?
what did it end up being????
Hi!! Yes, it ended up being LSOH. I auditioned and got the part of Orin Scrivello D.D.S. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, our production was cut short, but we are still planning on having a mini show for the company. :)
lucky
omg it was my musical too!
There is so much humanity in this film. Issues such as poverty, domestic violence, sadism (the dentist), wanting to live in suburbia, fame, money, it's more than a horror comedy to me.
I watched part of this movie once when I was a little kid on TV and back then I legit thought it was a regular scary horror movie.
I literally had to search "Movie about a killer plant" just to find exactly what I was looking for.
This might be a fun watch now.
It has horror elements in it, but it's primarily a tragedy/black comedy it has a solid plot and theme (provided you watch the directors cut with the original ending) great acting and funny jokes.
When I was young that's Exactly what I thought also 😅
I love this movie
It's a b-horror movie it has elements of a horror movie but it's a little bit of horror and musical plus it's the only one that I'm aloud to watch you totally should check it out it's a blast a bit creepy tho if you get scared easy then it isn't the musical for u but if u love a good thrill like myself then go right a head and check it out it's a dark comedy
Might be?
If you don't like it, you just have no soul.
This is heart warming to me. This was one of my favorites as a kid. But then again, I was the kid with different tastes...
Wow you're so qUiRkY
@@yikes_lazzy ikr so much quirk!!111!!! 🗿🗿🗿🌙⚡️✨✨✨✨✨🌟🌙💫
Are you a dentist now? 🦷
It holds up no matter how old you get!
A bit different than G-dzilla though the end result is the same.
To this day my favorite musical. Classic!
This is the only musical I like
Of course they added the dentist song in the trailer xD
“I’m just a mean green mother from outer space, and it looks like you been had!”
*_” Y E S “_*
GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! YOU MAKE ME FURIOUS!
Rick Moranis did an awsome Acting here. he did Act in slomotion when ever he talkes to the Plant. and they speeded it up 2 times that the puppet did look move that it looks realistic. and so had Rick Moranis to.
Back in the day, commercials were longer than infomercials.
Lustantino Animations

I’ve never seen the movie but I’m going to see the musical for the first time today live and I’m VERY excited
same my school has to do a play on it
god i loved john candy he was such a great actor
Crackerjack Films and bill Murray
Me too :/
Then you should watch Planes,Trains and Automobiles for thxgiving! It's a masterpiece!
uncle buck ):
Yeah I agree
Steve Martin and Bill Maury together in this film are truly a piece of cinema history!
Yeah, at the end they both were involved in looney tune movies separately.
And the original B&W 1960 version included Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson.
anyone just here because they just thought of it and went oh wait i remember that i loved that musical because i did this was just in the back of my head
Such a classic
Totally
My introduction to horror movies 😊 and a classic monster movie!
Why was Bill Murray in this movie
@@cocoduck7745 just because

Cannot believe I was missing out on such a masterpiece for so long!!!
Now I have two Venus flytraps named Audrey 1 and Audrey 2.
Oh yea, Rick Moranis was a star back in the late 80s and early 90s with these classics.
Not into musicals but this movie was brilliant
This might be my favorite musical movie of all time.
i cant believe my mom showed me this when i was like 5 for a family movie day thingie in the morning. THE FACT THAT I STILL REMEMBER WHAT THIS ISSSS......CHILDDD
I just want to say that Little shop of Horrors is Awesome!!!!😃 I actually love both the movie and the Broadway musical! I even also love it that it's about a Singing, Talking Bloodthristy plant that eats people!😁
my high school just performed the musical version of this movie. loved it so much. i wish we were allowed to record so i could watch it over and over again. they’re all so talented and they’re the reason i wanna stay in drama until my graduation
Little Shop of Horrors is my favorite musical of all time. There's actually a remake in the works!!!
Hopefully they use a puppet instead of cgi
With chris evans & scarlett johansson!
@@kivrinsagchannel791 it was a puppet
???
@@kivrinsagchannel791 what is a cgi?
I always think of the Downtown song in this when I’m wearily trudging the street or subway with other New Yorkers.
this remake of the original film, is a complete hilarious musical classic, full of gory, wacky and funny moments, a unforgettable story full of so many opposite things: murder, madness, romance and irony, all in the same little package of horror, HA HA HA.
I love the plant it has a good voice
Levi Stubbs...he was amazing....Suppertime was the best song in the movie...
I love this movie 😀 I grow up with the Theatrical Version so when I first seen the Director's Cut I was like OMG everyone dies lol how awesome
Why the alternate ending had to be made...
one of the best muscials ever
I saw this when I was a kid and i loved it so much its so cute and funny i named my pet lizard Seymore!
Not Audrey III?
Steve Martin is classic
I watched this as a little kid. I watched it because a friend said it was the only horror movie he liked...........Even as an 11 yr old I was like "this isn't a horror movie".
great movie.
Someone on network TV should definitely make this their next live musical.
I ❤️ SEYMOUR!
Jack Nicholson was in the Awesome original movie of 1960....
Now going watch this in 2024
This would be the best movie based on a musical if they hadn't changed the ending. I'd even put it up to the levels of The Sound Of Music's adaptation.
Tristan Horta they did make the ending where the plants take over
The test audience hated it
Both endings are available.
you can still watch the original ending
True. The dang test audiences wanted a happy ending so they scraped the original “plant wins” ending (which was 1/5th of their budget by the way)
I respect there change but the original ending is a ton of fun
iv been looking for this movie for years i loved it so much but forgot the name 😂
I love this musical I saw it a week ago and watched the movie for the first time in middle school fell in love it was my introduction to horror
How could u froget a movie like this
@@kivrinsagchannel791 This is probably the most memorable movie title ever written, LOL.
I remember watching this when I was little 6 years old so I remember absolutely nothing about it other than the plant
I love this musical 🤩
This is my favorite musical as of now!!! Im going to see it in new york :D!!!!!!
I was drawing a plant like this in all my doodle book but yet I never knowed about this until yesterday
My school is going to do this musical this year! I’m super excited!
I remember watching this as a kid and forgotten all about it until someone on this game show started to talk about this 😂
30+ years later and Audrey II is still the best looking effect ive ever seen in movies
10 out off 10 movie
My mom told me about this movie😂
My mom told me about the musical
My dad showed me this
I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH
R.I.P. Levi Stubbs & John Candy!
Does anyone remember like a weird 90's movie that had an alien in like black dress shoes and stalks for eyes coming to earth and I think he and a kid battle some venus flytrap plant in a greenhouse that gets locked so they are stuck inside?
Miss peregrine's home for peculiar children?
Are you high?
Men in black II was kinda like that.
SharkPup1912 That wasn’t in the 90’s.
I found it. It was called “Can of Worms”
I remember when I was a toddler and my dad showed me this
Still remember this
Bill Murray was in ONE scene, why is he credited in the title?
1337sir because it’s Bill Murray
The same reason Jack Nicholson is credited in the title of the original 1960 movie (for the same role)
To be fair, he’s credited as a guest appearance.
I was thinking the same thing. They should have kept it brief like they did for the radio host
because he still has to make royalties.
why in the title. because he was popular back then. rick, murry, candy, martin... they are all close friends. they all started on saturday night live.
John Lewis' 2023 Christmas advert brought me here
Use to watch this as a kid
I allways thought this was a family friendly musical
Who do I love after little shop of horrors
totally forgot about this i know i watched it before when i was a boy i didn't know it was released in 86 the year i was born
I loved this 🎥..
From watching this movie as a kid. I didn't remember what That plant was trying to bite at 0.40😅. I guess the plan had good taste after all. Lol
My school did this musical😜✌️
I love this movie but I can only handle the trailer now.
When i was about six years old my grandma was telling me about this movie and i just remembered it right now so i searched venus fly trap movie and i found it
How have I never known about this movie 😂
It's definitely a classic. There probably won't be enough people left before long to give a?
Now I know what to do if Audrey 2 ever tries to eat me😂
undertale the movie
What
What
Oh my god, this is amazing.
I would say what he means, but then I would probably be spoiling undertale.
No.
i'm here for bill
awesome musical
Outstanding trailer and movie 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
The only reason I know about this is because the casino I work at has a slot game with the same name. The cast holds up so I might check out the film
I can’t believe how young Tisha Campbell was 😊
I watched this a lot as a smol boi
A classic
I’m auditioning this year :D
It’s more comedy than horror
It has elements of horror just not scary
I saw the play at the high school my parents work at and I listen to the music so much it’s unhealthy
Phyllis T Anthony R.I.P.
❤ this movie
I remember the movie
And of course, the plant's VA doesn't get ANY recognition whatsoever.
Which sucks, because he MADE the movie.
It’s so cute ☺️
CLASSIC
i love it
"A girl." Never seen that before, glad to see an example.
When I was a kid I once thought that Prehistoric Plants looked like this TBH.
احلى فلم بحياتي
I used to really like that movie.
Does anyone else remember how there was an episode of VeggieTales based on this movie?
Though I really love this movie I can't watch it without feeling sad about how the powers of the SNL alumni who made this film so special and who dominated film comedy in the 80's has declined. For example Bill Murray tried to be a serious actor, appearing in boring pretentious movies and Steve Martin tried to be a serious actor and a director and while I admit that some comedians have been able to do that successfully, like Charlie Chaplin and Woody Allen, I feel that some people are genius at doing only one thing and I think that those comedians/comedy actors should have stuck to making people laugh.
Thank goodness these old films exist to remind people how good these comedians used to be.
WOW, with the Ghostbusters actors👻👻👻🤩🤩🤩
Uh darn no feed the plant monster he eats humans for lunch
Muszę to obejrzeć. 😂
Exactly
for some reason i always thought the dentist was harrison ford
Who came here after knowing that Chris evans will be in this!!!!?? Soo excited!!
Another remake? I’ve not heard anything about that yet.
@@WizardsBastard he'll play the dentist as he said in some zoom interview :)
@@zizodove2369 You know who could make an awesome remake of this remake? KEY and PEELE!!! Think about it! Key could do the voice of Audrey 2, and Peele can direct!
1:22 -How much i must keep on feeding you?
-Until moment when i will eat you(sorry for spoilers)
😂😁😂😁
They made an official Broadway 🎭 musical of this.
Broadway musical was actually made 4 years before this movie and there's a 1960's version with Jack Nicholson in it
@@deadpool1966 I meant the broadway 🎭 musical 🎶 of today
