Even the phrases were perfect. Ivars death was ridiculous. Bjorn s death was hsitorical.

The best season I ever watched, Bjorns final scene was EPIC to watch him grow from young into the legend he became.....deffo one of the best series ever made

It’s better that these series is over at right and peaceful time. Because with time the series could become even worst like The Walking Dead writers did. I don’t like New series anymore. Because of main actors disappeared it started to get worst with New “faces” .

Deep down i believe the real legends about this saga are really epic like this.
They are, espc ivar and hvitserk were really interesting in real life but they were real no sagas and hvitserk actually was called halfdan
If anything this series has only watered them down.

This last scene is the viking ideal, not leaving this world in bed getting old and weak, instead, fighting to death for your ideals. Truly inspiring. I've made a TEDx talk about this mentality.

In real history, Bjorn lived a long life , as a rich man, in Sweden. ( The King of Norway , was Harald Fairhair , he had at least 6 wives and 20 children !! )

Besides Lagertha's death, Bjorn's death was one of the saddest moments of later on in the show.
Though that moment when Bjorn gets shot with the arrows and Ivar is watching in disbelief and fear, that look on the traitors face is golden.
RIP King Bjorn.

With how superstitious the vikings were, seeing a man they thought was dead, lead an army to them would have been beyond fear.
I had to stop watching Vikings for about 6 months after this episode, I wasn't ready to go back. Never has a show made me mourn like Vikings made me mourn for bjorn.

you have to give credit to the creators of the show. their ability to portray the deaths of both ragnar and bjorn in such epic and dramatic fashion was amazing. from the buildup to the delivery every second of it makes you feel something. and really feel it i mean.

Yes. I wanted more ! After the final battle and having been defeated, i would've preferred Hvitserk returning to Kattegat and proclaiming himself King instead of remaining and converting to Christianity. After all, the true leader of Kattegat should be a son of Ragnar imo, not that evil witch. Ubbe and Floki could've returned home as well but it looks like a new life in North America was their fate instead. How their paths changed during the series, too much conflict between all of them. Excellent series. Skol !

When a dying legend walks to his death without fear and his only wish his to look his enemy in they eye as he dies sword in hand, all who know his legend gather to march to war beside him one last time, and till their dying day they told of what they witnessed. And when he closed his eyes the last time, he opened them in the Halls of Valhalla, and the Grimnir himself stood in respect and saluted him.
I am watching season 6, 4th episode.. i didn't knew he is going to die.... But now it's spoiled, i am literally crying 🥺. Farewell Bjørn Ironside, farewell. 🥺
Bjorn made many questionable choices in his life but in the end he was a true son of Ragnar, a fierce warrior and worthy of being King of Kattegat
